Wendy's — Restaurant in Appomattox

First impressions are always the key to a business.... My first impression before it was redone was that the dinning room was very dirty can sit there for a hr and no one comes to check or clean lobby.... Was really excited when it reopened its doors for the new remodel.... Came in a wk after remodel again first impression wow they really can't keep a store clean for the life of them came in with 8 ppl we were disappointed that they spent all that money on a remodel to have there crew and one manager not even care about making there store look good.... Having a clean restaurant means more business in the inside and out .... 20 - 30 trays stacked on garbage cans garbage all over lobby and drink station was full of trash ... Girls bathroom was dirty.... Empty ketchup pump. The other pump was put together wronge so again no ketchup was coming out. To the counter lady she said oh I was wounding y every one was asking for ketchup (me : having been in fast food for 15 years and worked at a Wendy's in NY for 5 yrs, was thinking if u did ur job u would not have to wounder anything) basicly these ppl need to get it 2gether and keep the place clean and may be if they didn't keep drive thru windows open there would have not been 5 thousands fly's in the place either or just clean the place it would not attract more... I visit this place 5/29/17.... Please hire ppl that will keep it store clean... Love Wendy's but is very gross to sit down at a dirty ass table surround by dirty ass tables... U know its bad when u got a baby and u gotta take a baby wipe to clean ur own table...

I can usually count on Wendy's to be just above the best when it comes to fast food. But every time they consistently screw up my husband's sandwich...he is disgusted with wendys...and mayo....so much so that the last carry out out he threw his hamburger back on the table and then threw it in the trash..."WHY DO THEY HAVE TO SLATHER MAYONNAISE ON EVERYTHING? EVERY STINKEN TIME??" ( usually its my sandwich they screw up. My fav is jr bacon cheese burger with added mayo and xxpickle but for some reason they take every thing off except for the added requests) My husband was really put out...he is a patient man but he was really hungry and diabetic...we tried sharing the rest of the food to satisfy him. But I got to admit this was a screwed order. There was more grease on the bag than on the food...sandwiches had wilted old lettuce. Sandwiches made sloppy and not wrapped right Everything was ice cold. The drink machines weren't working so i got lemonade. There was no chocolate for frostys...Rich got tea.. and the lady didnt give it any ice to any of the drinks even after asking . His tea was to sweet so he tried to dump it but it was like the lids were glued on --never seen anything like that. I love Wendy's but this is it for my husband..he'll probably never go back. We lost the receipt so calling to complain was out...sorry Wendy's, Dave would not be proud...

UPDATE to below 9/15/24 1:30pm‐ horrendous! This place has really gone downhill. I was the only one are the register to place an order. All staff, including the manager were very loud, talking, laughing and goofing off. Three made eye contact with me and after 5 minutes, I left because not a single person came to take my order. Terrible! DO NOT STOP HERE! There are way too many options to pay good money for this type of service.

Thestaff are very nice and it appears to be managed well. In the past, that was not the case. My food came out the correct temperature and quickly. The owner of this Wendy's needs to step up and give its employees a restaurant to be proud of. It's time to do some cosmetic upgrades (carpet & bathrooms at the very least). The multi-selection Coke machine is always out of a lot of selections. There's never any ketchup in the dispenser. The bathrooms are just odd and small. If more than two people are in there, plan to stand in the middle of the tiny room waiting for one to finish. All that aside, I stop frequently when in the area. There is plenty of parking in the big lot for towed vehicles. Again, the staff now make this a much better experience and I hope they are being...
