Pook's Pub — Restaurant in Aransas Pass

Not a very inviting place.. the bartender was sitting at the bar and just sat and watched as I sat down at the bar. She took her time as if it was a problem that I wanted a drink. I think are used to seeing a certain “demographic” because another gentleman came in and was immediately greeted with a drink. Over priced watered down drink.. I’m guessing they don’t serve food here either. I left and went to Spankys and had to eat at McDonald’s.. I was not comfortable at all. Thanks for nothing. Don’t waste...

We have been living here for a year and it was our first time going out here in Aransas. We arrived at 1045 (hrs close at 12) As soon as we walked in, they rushed to stop us at the door and tell us "they were done for the night because it had slowed down" and made sure we were out the door. There were about 10 people in there, so they could've easily let us have at least one drink. (We were only 2) Not to mention, if they were done they could've also locked the door to prevent more people...

I must say a few weeks ago I was having a really tough day & I needed a quiet, nice, local establishment to have a few cold ones. Saundra was our bartender and she was so amazing! We sat and talked with her for the entire night. We even made new friends and met up with old ones. You guys definitely have some good true hidden gems in your community and this is one of them. I definitely will be back to see Mrs. Saundra & enjoy their beautiful space. 10/10...
