Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Ardmore

Two weeks ago I would have said they were doing an awesome job after not going there for nearly a year because their service was absolutely horrible. They seemed to have turned it around and were doing real good for the next two visits. Then on the third visit, it all went back to horrible service again. They were not busy when we went and I had noticed that day they hadn't been very busy, but when I went through the drive thru and ordered a meal with mashed potatoes, the manager said she didn't have time to make them that day. I substituted something else for potatoes that she didn't make, they took our order and we pulled to the window. They took my money then told me to pull over and park. It was then I noticed two other cars that were parked obviously waiting for their order too. As I said, there were no customers inside, only the two other cars. After waiting over 25 minutes I went in to see what was going on. There were no employee to be seen. There was plenty of chicken and food made so the wait couldn't have been for the food. Finally the manager lady appeared and was just aimlessly wondering around in the back, not preparing anything. Then another employee appeared and looked lost. Two more employees who were out sitting in a car smoking who knows what came in. One of them clocked in and promptly went into the mens room not to be seen again the whole time I was in there waiting. Finally a different employee came out front and immediately made my order. There was absolutely no reason they couldn't have done that 30 minutes earlier. That place has had poor management and employees that don't seem to have a care for their customers since the place opened years ago. I wouldn't recommend going there unless you dont mind waiting half an hour or more for food that is already made in a place that isn't busy. We won't be going back to this Popeyes. Ardmore always has a way of ruining every new restaurants...

When I saw the food storage bucket on the counter catching water coming out of the lights above the register I should have just turned around but I usually love Popeyes and I drove 3 miles off the interstate to get here.

So I went to order. And waited. And waited. And waited. After about 5 minutes I was yelled at from the kitchen "I'll be right with you!". So another 5 minutes of waiting. At this point I'm committed and there's 6 people standing behind me.

The manager finally took my order. She immediately got it and it was ready in about 45 seconds. I ordered 5 tenders and red beans and rice.

Went to get my drink. The coke is flat. Horribly flat. Sat down and ate. I think maybe the tenders were sitting there a long time because they were rubbery. They're usually some of my favorite tenders but they were old and rubbery and just not good. I thought the red beans and rice might save me but it ironically was cold and tasted more like Luke warm refried beans with half cooked rice mixed in. Seriously inedible.

At least the biscuit was the same as any other location. Unfortunately, since the coke was awful I just had to power through that dry ass biscuit so at least I got as much to eat for my $15 as possible.

I cannot recommend this location. I hope they get their staffing and facilities problems fixed. As someone passing through I will probably never know. But if you're reading this more than a month after 10/23/2024, I would look to see if any newer reviews show things have...

Came into this Popeyes today 9 5 2022 There was only one table in the lobby who hadn't had their food yet who knows how long they had been there we waited 40 minutes for our food. The employees didn't seem to know what was going on. Didn't seem like they were working at all it just kind of seemed like they were taking cash and making people wait an extremely long time and giving them unacceptable food. After about 25 minutes of our wait a man came in I'm assuming that had to be the manager because our food came out about 25 minutes later. Up until that point it didn't seem like any of the employees were trying to make food or even knew how to make the food. While we were there the table that was there before us literally had to go up to the counter and watch them make their food and Coach them from the counter. I don't understand why people spend money here I definitely didn't feel good about spending my money needless to say I definitely will not be back and I will definitely recommend everyone I know...
