Sirloin Stockade — Restaurant in Ardmore

We love to frequent there often, but last night was really bad. Alway received a veterans discount, the host I shown my military ID to said I got you, no discount on ticket. I didn't make a fuse as a line was behind us. Food was pretty bad, uncooked whole potatoes, think they forgot to add ingredients to the instant potatoes also, rolls tasted like raw dough. Went to get some meat, the young guy/server was always doing something else then look at you like I was Inconveniencing him. Another employee walking around cutting people off while walking, earbuds in not caring about anyone else. Watched him cut in front of a elder gentleman to stir some beans. While I was getting some carrots he came up bumping me out of the way to stir the same pot of beans that he just cut the elder man off in front of me. I said excuse me, he ignored me as his earbuds did not permit him to hear I guess. Also standing between the buffet counter picking the next song on his phone, no reguards for anyone else he was holding up. Waitress was great, always good on that end. Went to leave and get a gift card for a friend of ours, had to get manager to do that. We asked him about the gift card and the veteran discount, both were a problem it seemed. He indeed said that they have the discount. Told him he needs to let the host know that, host was right next to him. The manager made no effort to resolve the issue. So I called the store to see what was on their buffet because we were out of town from Louisiana and the first time I asked, I was hung up on call back and inform them that I wanted to know what was on the buffet and the person before her had hung up on me so the lady told us that there was gonna be steak and everything after we arrived, we were putting our order in. I told the lady that I had Gastro bypass and I have the kids menu because I eat a lot. The owners wife turned around with an attitude and said that I would have to have a card and I told her that was fine that I would not eat My family was going to eat then she proceeded to turn around and said fine give her the kids menu this one time she knows to have her card so as I was standing there with my two boys, ages 8 and 11 why my friend was ordering her stuff she the owners wife looked at me and said looks like he’s gonna have to have the surgery before long in disbelief of what I just heard and mind you she was talking about my 11-year-old son I went on the table with my family and informed my husband and friend what she had said I asked the waitress if I could have like corporate number and she informed me that the owner was there and come to find out it was the ladies husband that said that about my son he comes around I explain everything to him he apologize and I informed him that she is the reason he doesn’t get much customers he said that he had been working on her so apparently he doesn’t get it either and I will never ever spend another dollar...

honestly if i could give it 0 stars, i would. i never review restaurants but this one i just had to warn others. the staff was TERRIBLE. As soon as we walked in, they snipped at us that they were closing at 8pm…it was only 7:30. we continued to sit down and two of the staff members were just sitting in the front talking bad about every customer who came in. including us! The older lady with brown, curly hair wearing a green shirt was absolutely more than rude to my boyfriends family, but was kind to me? coincidence, im the only white one. she did not greet or give farewell to any persons of color, only white people. we also watched the same lady walk over to the desert stand DURING her shift and grab food with her BARE HANDS?!? later during our visit, my boyfriends aunt dropped a five dollar bill. he picked it up for her since she has back problems, but one of the staff members continued to walk up to him, and made him give it to her because it was “one of her servers”..uhm no. besides the terrible service, the food was bland, dry, and cold. it was obvious it had been sitting for wayyy too long.. we’re all sick now. save yourself your time and money and DO...
