Met up with my cousin & daughter here because it was halfway between us. It had been a few years, so we had a lot to catch up on. I'd always heard great things about this restaurant, so we decided to have a late lunch there, then we expected to have to find another spot to finish visiting. Turned out we were unexpectedly lucky that day!!! Even though it was during their lull between lunch and dinner, they had more than enough staff available, they were all very friendly and welcoming to us. Customers were seated throughout the different dining sections, giving each table plenty of privacy, even though most places limit seating to one area during down times.
Our server was the most delightful person, putting us all at ease and understanding how hard it is to stop our excited chatter and figure out what to order. She welcomed us like family and we all enjoyed the times she checked in on us and was easily absorbed into our conversation. We never felt hurried and were actually able to fully visit in comfort there, before heading our separate ways.
The food was plentiful, fresh and delishish. There were many different selections avaiable that would please different palettes and dietary needs. The hush puppies were the best we'd ever tasted!!!
We were glad once again that it was during a lull, because the decor was fun to explore before we left, with many, many signed guitars and pictures of many musicians from different genres and decades.
I'm guessing this is a great place to enjoy some night life in Ardmore because their was a stage for live music.
Wish I could remember our server's name to give her the credit for making this a 5 Star PLUS experience for us!!! She was the first person who actually knew my hometown of Vashti, TX!!! If you recognize her or if you are her, please pass our praise onto the management. They need to know how valuable you are to the restaurant's success and getting this rating & review. We all agreed she went over and above, making our little reunion feel extra special that day!!! We'll definitely be back and will recommend this place to family and friends, who frequently pass...

The only notable point as you gaze upon the exterior, is that of the gentleman's club-style covered entrance, sans bouncer of course. On entering the dining area, one's impression of having stumbled mistakenly into a strip club is immediately tripled when bombarded with the dazzling imagery of the raised staged, dim studio lighting, more maroon than the interior of grandma's Oldsmobile, both walls and carpet of the classiest cheetah print, and the multi-section layout that conjures immediate flashes of the velvet curtains and signs for "VIP" that must have been there once in its undoubtedly storied past. There has been an effort to redirect the 70's glitzy feel into one of simple rock-n-roll nostalgia, with posters, plaques and framed electric guitars - and it works! This all serves to create an ambiance of comfortable, chuckling observation that is not unpleasant.
Now on to the meal! The tables and booths are clean, and the portion sizes are gigantic and very reasonably priced. The food was excellent, the wait times short and the bathrooms were very clean. Excellent chips and salsa, two impressive burgers with crisp and tasty fries, and an apple dumpling desert that we wanted to finish but simply couldn't, we were so full!
In Katie's hands the service was truly outstanding and fun, and I would not hesitate to...
Read moreMy wife and I are staying at a B&B near Ardmore. We chose to go to Two Frogs Grill(R) for an appetizer lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We were seated quickly, ordered a beer, two appetizers (the 'Appetizer Trio' and a shrimp cocktail) and a side salad. After ordering, the salad was delivered shortly. We sat and watched the tables around us become occupied, their customers order, and subsequently, their food be delivered. We reminded our server about the beer. It was delivered more than fifteen minutes, by my watch, after ordering. We waited longer. The remainder of the food was delivered more than twenty-five minutes, again by my watch, after ordering. Several of the tables we'd watched be occupied after we sat down were now empty, their customers having eaten, provided remuneration, and departed. The 'Appetizer Trio', a combination of fried zucchini, fried mushrooms and fried cheese sticks, was largely lukewarm. The zucchini was limp. The cheese sticks were cool. The mushrooms were also lukewarm, but had a good flavor. The shrimp cocktail was acceptable. Our server was less than helpful; our presence seemed to be an imposition on that server's day; in spite of the fact that our water glasses were almost empty, they weren't refilled. We've eaten at this restaurant several times, and were always satisfied in the past. This trip, however, was a significant disappointment. I'm searching, so far in vain, for a reason to ever return, given the increasing number of good options in the...
