Best Pizza We Found in the Green Valley Area By the time I wrote this review, we'd been there 2 more times. It's a little hard to find, in an end unit and faces Trader Ln. I don't think they've been open too long as everything is still like new. Modern without being stark. We were there later in the evening towards the end of dinner hour and were seated immediately. We've seen two older ladies who are servers there and they are terrific. Anytime we ask questions about the food they steer us right every time. They are attentive without constantly being in your face. We go there to get two menu items - the small Antipasto Salad ($6.99) and a Medium Supreme Pizza ($24.79). Along with the abundant amount of veggies and meats in the salad, they also shave in cheese. A spectacular salad with not much lettuce. The Supreme pizza has Pepperoni, Canadian Bacon, Mushroom, Green Peppers and Red Onions. Nobody loads topping on a pizza like they do in the midwest, but Mario's does it pretty well. We really like how the crust is almost cracker thin. A little thin to hold up when first brought to the table, but firms a little more as it cools. With the salad as a starter, we only eat about a third of the pizza and bring home the rest. Just like Jello, there's always room for a Stuffed Cannoli ($2.99 ea.). These are made to order, not from the fridge case. My wife goes crazy for these. We've seen other dishes come out to tables and one looks as good as the other. They do have a bar as you enter with a couple beers on tap and I know they have a good selection of wines. Stop in someday and I think you'll be...
Read moreWe stopped by here on a whim about a week ago and got really good subs so we decided to come back for a date. Antipasto was really good. Meatballs the best I ever had.. About the size of an 8 oz measuring cup. Texture and sauce were enjoyable. I would actually use the sauce to dip pizza crust in or bread. Pizza was bad. Worse the Mcdonalds pizza in the 1980’s.
I ordered a supreme thin crust. There is an outside chance that I got the wrong pizza. The amount of green bell peppers was ridiculous. Mixed in with this was an equally excessive amount of onion and below that was a thick layer of mushroom. There was no sauce that I could tell. There were so many peppers that the liquid from them made the crust soggy. When I picked up one slice it looked like there was water under the crust. (I also saw this in another persons review)
Since my first experience was good and 2/3 of this meal was good I am inclined to try again. Since this was an enjoyable night out with my gal I was not even going to darken the mood by bring it up with the waitress. I was surprised that she didn’t ask if everything was all right after she noticed at least a full cup of raw green bell peppers scraped onto the pan.
If I never go back for the pizza, I will definitely go back for the gigantic chocolate...
Read moreMario McGee's is a great place for a great pizza and a drink! Supreme Pizza is fantastic! 805 beer was amazingly tasty and didn't leave that "beer aftertaste" in my mouth. Hubby liked the iced tea.
1st time there back in December was so good, we went again tonight! We got there and only available space was at the small quaint bar. Great height for eating pizza and not wearing it afterwards...😉
Was very busy with a full dining area and busy take out service. Everyone working was on their toes and handled every customer with great service and attention. Mike, the owner was handling the host and front end and his wait staff, especially Christina (?spelling) was very accommodating. She was a 5+ as well as the entire staff.
Kudos to a great pizza place, informal, accommodating, great atmosphere, no loud music to compete with great conversations.
Outside waiting area was nice and people were just hanging out until a table became available for them.
Looking forward to our next pizza night at...
