I purchased an Ace Rubber66 inch Portable Handheld Shower Spray ($14.99, for the purpose of attaching to my bathtub spout, to wash our dog), at the Ace Hardware store near Esperanza Green Valley. When I inquired about the product, a woman employee informed me that 'it should fit all spouts'. Well, not so. I got more water on me than our dog. I decided to return it and ask for my refund. However, I did not have the products plastic package. Nonetheless, I thought, I'm sure they'll accept it. When I asked for the manager, an elderly, pink-eyed man approached me, listened to my issue, then responded with, "We don't accept refunds if the product's package is missing. Read the sign on the wall," as he pointed. From there he curtly dismissed me and carried on talking to another customer. I contacted Laurie, an assistant manager at the Sahaurita Ace Hardware. She was great and reassuring after I described my case. She said, "There'd be no problem returning the time here. We will get credit from the company despite the missing package." As you'll read the reviews, you'll note that my testimony is not the only dissatisfied complaint regarding the Esperanza Ace Hardware store in Green Valley. Incidentally, even though it is part of the franchise, it ironically operates different â it's a 'Ma & Pa' business. Thank you Laurie for your help!
PART 2 IN RESPONSE TO Marie M. ownerâs response: Firstly, Marie, I DO NOT MIND âMa & Paâ businesses. I support those businesses more than ordering items on-line. Secondly, my concerns (as other customers will concur, and particularly other Ace Hardware franchise stores nearby) â itâs all about amendments, acceding to a customerâs request. FACT: Each ACE HARDWARE store receives full credit from a returned manufacturerâs product â despite the missing package. This product happened to be an ACE HARDWARE product! I think itâs time to remove your outmoded warning sign and whatâs printed on your receipts. Other ACE HARDWARE stores will abide to the rule and accept my matter. Why not you? Why not change? Lastly, the manager should have had a more welcoming demeanour than convey curtness and disdainfulness. Literally passing me off as though Iâm an idiot for not knowing. Also, what does the managerâs eye cancer have to do with the issue at hand? I would like to kindly ask you to please put your violin away, for itâs totally irrelevant to the matter. I too have had the âCâ, I donât go on with an orchestra supporting my woes. I will look forward to other hardware stores as well as the âMa & Paâ...
Read moreThey donât honor the lifetime warranty of their craftsman products. I broke my lifetime warranty ratchet. Craftsman instructed me to take it to any retailer and they would replace it for me.
Went in to replace my ratchet. They turned me away and told me they donât honor the lifetime warranty on the tools they sell.
On the other hand. The Ace in Sahuarita was super helpful. They told me to go pull a wrench off their shelf. Unfortunately they didnât have my wrench in stock. If you want to go to have your lifetime warranty tool replaced at ACE go to Sahuarita. The folks their honor the warranty.
Update: I was up in Tucson and happened by Markâs ACE. Went in and was immediately greeted by one employee who without hesitation set me up with another employee to get a replacement wrench picked out. They swapped wrenches with out hesitation per craftsmanâs warranty policy: âtake to a retailer for replacementâ
Not sure why the green valley ACE wasnât willing to work with me. Very disappointing. As a kid my grandparents took us grandkids to ACE every time we visited them to get balsa planes and aero copters/ twirly copters. In years since I always felt like ACE kept the small town feel and service that big box stores lacked. Unfortunately thatâs not the case with GreenValley ACE. If you also find yourself disappointed in the green valley ACE the drive to Markâs is long but youâll get the service...

Not only was I treated badly and for no reason my grandmother was given the 3rd degree for a shovel that broke the same day she bought it. At first completely refused to do anything about it till asked to talk to owner and we he came to look at the shovel he stated "How do I know you even perched it here" so now the clerk showed the receipt showing at the purchase was made that day and again you stated "how do I know you purchased it from here". Now this very rude and argent owner has called a great, great, grandmother a liyer and I have no idea how this store is not going out of bisness it is the only place where you are not able to return an item that you bought for $29.99 +tax the same hour of perches when you find the same item down the ride for $18.79+tax the Ace Hardware is price gouging refuses to return items and considers everybody thieves. the need to put them out of business is hi so we can get a reputable hardware store other than this ace. my opinion don't purchase anything from ACE hardware or...
