Moqah Coffee and Beyond GV — Restaurant in Arizona

I had never been to Green Valley, let alone Moqah Coffee and Beyond, before. I was working there for the day and needed a coffee shop I could be comfortable in for a few hours, but I got the added bonus of an awesome service and food experience to boot! Armando (I think that’s his name, and I apologize if I got it wrong) was extremely gracious, warm, and welcoming. He situated me at a nice table where there was an electric outlet. Sure I’d read up on Yelp for coffee shops and I had a couple in mind and chose Moqah partially for the great food reviews, even though my primary objective was just coffee and working. I got the everything bagel and lox and it was outstanding! I was NOT expecting that! I mean, I’m originally from the Bronx, and just the lox itself was totally legit! It was excellent! But even the bagel was good! And it had capers and cream cheese, just as you’d expect. Just wonderful. And for the side dish, the homemade macaroni salad was also excellent! Good portion size too!

The hot coffee was great but I also got a blended drink, and they’re almost invariably way too sweet for me, but not this one, it was excellent!

I will always remember this great experience and won’t hesitate to return if I need to be in Green...

My best friend and I meet regularly at Moqah. Prices are very good, in view of the good-sized portions the chefs prepare. The staff are very friendly. The owner is friendly, too. During the busiest periods you might have to get a bad table, like the one closest to the door. Otherwise, you get your pick. I strongly recommend the coffees. I have had two different kinds now, and they have uniformly been terrific. Visited many times because is convenient and fills a niche. Brewed coffee is good. Food good but not outstanding. Initial order taking service can be a bit slow and after food is served there's usually no further service, so any additional needs such as coffee refills, additional creamer, etc generally require flagging a server or making a trip to the kitchen counter. The young ladies working behind the counter are sometimes sitting and chatting; they could be more effectively employed checking on clients when they are not busy with other tasks.
