We came in with party of 10 after lunch when place wasnt busy. I walked in with a bowl of noodles for my young daughter. We were greeted by a woman (perhaps manager). She stuck us in back room with new waitress who didn't know menu yet. They did not support the new staff member by supervising or having her shadow someone. We ordered and did not receive food for well over an hour. When food finally arrived some of the orders were wrong. The manager blamed the new waitress. Very uncool considering they threw her to wolves with no oversight or help. The problem was clearly kitchen. Our waitress tried her best but did not have enough help or training. After our food arrived WRONG and after more than an hour of waiting after ordering, the manager VERY rudely told me I wasn't allowed to bring in outside food. This is the same food I carried into the restaurant openly when greeted by the same person. After the unacceptably long wait and messed up orders the way this woman treated me was completely unacceptable. I did not hide anything from her. If she had paid attention when I arrived or checked on us once during our more than hour wait, she would have seen and she certainly could have been polite. I'm not from Arkansas and certainly am not familiar with this health code rule. Never had an issue in Texas in accommodating a small child in a restaurant there. We received amazing service at Home Plate down the road. I suggest going there for quick friendly service...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed in this establishment and their service. Before I get to that, let me begin with the positive, yes, the SINGULAR positive: the staff were friendly. The rest of my experience outweighed this. First, no employee was wearing a mask. This being Arkansas, I highly doubt that they were all vaccinated. This alone would warrant a low review, yet there's more.
Let me preface this by saying that this establishment was by no means busy at the time we entered. My group of three people ordered, after a good 10 minutes of waiting for our server, two sandwiches and a 9" pizza. After waiting 30 minutes, we were informed that the long wait was because their "sandwich girl had gone to the bathroom". After waiting 10 more minutes, we were told that it would be, at a maximum, a 5 minute wait until we were able to finally able to eat our food. After another 10 minutes, we left.
I need not state how unacceptable it was to have a customer wait nearly an hour, while the restaurant wasn't busy, for three simple meals. I would highly recommend everyone else to find a higher quality source of food (like the grocery...
Read moreWas with a party of three that came in an hour before close. This was a Friday night and there weren't many people in at all. Since there were not many people in, Charlies apparently wanted to close up early and we ruined the plan. Said we wanted wings as an appetizer and the server said the salad bar was already put up and that they went ahead and let us come in anyway. Geez, sure do appreciate you letting us in an hour before close. I've been a server before and I understand when customers come in five minutes before close sucks, but an hour before close? Come on. Anyway, I guess they showed their disapproval of us being in there by making the food crappy so we wouldn't come in any more. It worked. Basically felt like weren't welcome at all and they actually asked when we were going to leave. DO NOT RECOMMEND It was a wonder they were so dead on a Friday night if they treat all of their customers the way we...
