48 Philly's — Restaurant in Arlington

Not sure what to say. This review is coming from a large doordash order. We ordered the gyros. So you know it was more like a lettuce gyro. Hardly any of the weird strange flavored meat. The image on doordash the meat looks more like a sliced steak where you can see the actual muscle fibers. That is not what I wanted I hoped and expected it to be a gyro type meat. That in a way is what I got. It was strangely flavored but texture wise and appearance was as expected. There were no sliced tomatoes or tomatoes of any form. There was no leaf lettuce. There was however an overabundance of shredded lettuce. When I opened the to-go box with one euro all you can see from top to bottom was lettuce shredded which is not what's in the picture. Also no sliced tomatoes. No diced tomatoes. No tomatoes of any kind. All in all extremely disappointed and grossed out by this product. Avoid...

First off, it is under NEW ownership and isn't called Pita Hut anymore. So when you pull up, it's a place called 48 Philly's. Not a problem for me tonight because I got a gyro regardless. Not only that, but it was a quick and pleasant experience. As a UTA university student, it's less than 6 mins from UTA and right off I20, perfectly located for a drive-thru bite. The food was extraordinary, truly made with love. Even after a 20 minute drive to Fort Worth from Arlington the food was warm and not soggy. I wish the best for this place and will be a return customer.

Second time trying this spot. The first time it was the soft opening so I got a philly combo. It was pretty good. I rate the philly a 7 out of 10 and the fries a 5 out of 10 . But overall it was pretty good came out fresh and hot. Second time I got the same thing and I added a chop cheese sandwich. Same rating for the philly. The chop cheese a 7 out of 10. It was good but didn't taste exactly like a nyc chop cheese. It tasted more like a philly cheesesteak. But it was very good. If you're in Arlington give them a try.
