One Love Lounge Caribbean Restaurant & Lounge — Restaurant in Arlington

I went to this restaurant and was HIGHLY disappointed in the customer service and the treatment that my friend and I had. I contemplated back & forth if I should make this review or not. But, how we were treated was totally unacceptable!! As a business owner and in the customer service industry this was the worst I have ever received! When we get there we were seated and we ordered our drinks (which was the best part about our evening there and listening to the karaoke singers perform!) before ordering our food! I decided to order the Curry Chicken with the Mac & Cheese & Vegetables (Cabbage)... Well, the menu stated that the Mac & Cheese was MAC & CHEESE! When our meals came our food was served with "To- Go" plates... We noticed that our Mac & cheese was brownish... We were shocked... But, we still tried it. Come to find out... It was JERK MAC & CHEESE! I took 2 bites and could not eat the rest. It was not good to us at all. Lite Spicy Jerk Sauce with the noodles and Cheese on top! Okay, if that's what y'all were serving... That should have been disclosed on the menu because we would not have ordered that Mac & Cheese if we knew it was going to be Jerk Mac & Cheese! My curry chicken, rice & peas was decent... The Cabbage was not cooked all the way but that wasn't a big deal to me... I was just planning on bringing back home to cook a little longer to my preference! So, our waitress comes back around to us and we told her that we did not like our Mac & Cheese and would like to either take it off of our bill or exchange. So, she left and went to the back & ask the manager what she should do. So, she told us that we can exchange. So, I said I will take the Vegetables... Well, when she went to go put the order in.. the manager told her that we could not exchange or get a refund... & Pointed at a sign that was BEHIND us & that we did not see or know about until she pointed out... That there are no refunds or exchanges!! So, at this point we wanted to talk to the manager because we needed to express our concerns about the whole ordeal. Well, she went to go get her and the MANAGER said that she could not come out because she was fulfilling Doordash orders! So, they'd rather lose out on a Customer & this whole thing couldve been avoided! We were not trying to start any trouble or cause problems! We just wanted to be treated fairly! & It just escalated so quickly! I mean what if we had kids with us and we ordered Mac & cheese for them and it was jerk Mac & cheese... I mean it's just unbelievable! I've had Jamaican Mac & Cheese all throughout my adulthood and never had anything like this & the service as well! Just posting this so other consumers...

This was the most horrible experience I have ever experienced with a dine in club, The party was reserved and only allowed to bring birthday cake Had to purchase triple priced drinks and overly priced food in house. Caribbean where? Felt like a house/EDM club, lounge whatever. we reserved this dining hall for birthday. Overcharges Wine and Food Food was nasty, salty other food was bland. The most insulting thing was they had a mirage of DJ's who refused to play the music that we (paying party)preferred it made our experience even worse. Run don't walk from this place by the way the food looks nothing like the posted photos; this must be old photos people have posted from the past. Refund is needed

This is in response to the review of my review. Not one reggae song or over 40's. And if you referring to the gentleman that tried to get everyone in higher Spirits because the music was agitating and annoying dancing then you don't know how to read the room. I do know that there were approximately five DJs and all DJs paid played EDM/house music. The last I recall the bill was settled by a different party/my sister-in-law paid however I will not respond to any more past the, yes we will never come to this place neither will anyone we know will never come to this place. $11.99 bottle of Moscato that you buy Walmart we were charged $75 for 1 x 2 for a total amount for the wine (wines) $151.81. The food was nasty and horrible; goat meat salty, rice bland, macaroni horrible, vegetable rice a disgrace to any culture....irregardless if you knew we were having a dinner, the the house music/EDM a DJ congregation should have been scheduled another day or we should been given the option to choose if we did not want to listen to that rubbish. I do know one thing after reading many of your reviews at this establishment, the person that actually booked and reserved this dinner should not have ever entered those/your doors. I stand by what I said nothing's going to...

I wasn’t going to make a post, but I’m really craving . and want my husband to try oxtails, as he is over 40 and never had them! Remind you I grew up Caribbean, but I’m far way from home! The 1st time I went I ordered rice&peas, oxtails, cabbage, and plantains. (I thought the plantain was extra and rice &peas automatic) I got maybe 3 small 🍖 and a big one and hardly no gravy? I thought 🤔 likkle expensive for quantity. Fine I tasted the thyme and coconut milk in de rice&peas and the plantains was goodt not unripe and fried. I thought fine maybe they were running out! I’ll go earlier next time?

2 weeks later I craved Carribean again when ordering this time I ordered same thing but didn’t know I had to tell them i wanted rice &peas because I said I want an oxtail dinner with cabbage and plantain on side. So I get my food and there’s no rice&peas? I’ve never in all my years not received rice&peas with a dinner. So I order rice&peas cause I can not eat oxtails wit out rice&peas!

I had a lot of oxtail and gravy that time, but they were VERY SALTY, so I drowned me rice in it to eat it? My lips were tingling and I was parched.

My first 🚩 was reading their food is salty , but wanted my own experience, so I overlooked the negative reviews. My second 🚩 was hearing rice&peas doesn’t come wit dinner automatically.

Today I’m craving Carribean, so I’m going take the drive to Jamaican Summers Eatery in Burleson, I can forgive them now for giving me bottom of the pot rice...
