Tacos La Banqueta Puro DF — Restaurant in Arlington

Tacos La Banqueta locations in DFW are some of our favorite places to go for tacos in the area. This Pioneer location has some issues and isn’t my favorite, although it still hits the spot every time I have a taco craving.

They’re usually pretty busy and get a lot of takeout orders, although they’re usually quite quick and can prepare an order if you call it in within about 15-20 minutes. This is one of the more spacious locations, with a sizable dining area if you are staying to eat. We haven’t eaten inside recently and get it to-go due to Covid, but they were usually quick and friendly with the service. You have to go up to the cash register at the front to pay, even if you dine in. A little inconvenient, but not a big deal.

The main little issue that I have is with the tacos. We love to order the tacos and gorditas from Tacos La Banqueta. They taste really good and are some of the best tacos you can find in the DFW area. The salsa is VERY spicy but goes great with them. Just make sure you have plenty of water available! The tacos are extremely small, however, and I’ve noticed that they tend to be stingy with filling them up with meat and other toppings. The location in Dallas, which we’ve been to a few times as well, gives you much more and really fill up the tacos. Combined with the fact that prices continue to inch upwards and now cost about $2 per taco, it starts to feel a little bit like it’s not worth the money. We’ve stopped going as often, as the number of tacos that you have to buy in order to fill you up, considering the minimal amount of meat they provide, and the rising prices, make it a higher expense than it used to be. They also don’t give enough salsa in take-out orders for the amount of tacos that you get!

I’ll still come to Tacos La Banqueta when I’m craving some delicious tacos and Gorditas, but perhaps to one of the other locations and not as often. I still do consider it one of the best places for tacos in...

Tacos and gorditas from here are amazing. this is my third time coming here and never been treated like the way I was treated today. My waitress was very nice. But it seems like the cooks had a issue. brought my date here she got her food with in 15/20 mins. I never received my gorditas. I ordered three of them can't understand why I was treated the way I was. I set over by the kitchen area so wasn't too sure if the cooks were jealous or what was going on pretty awful because this place has lost a few customer because of this. Hard to recommend this place after the treatment of tonight. Out of the three times I've been here the last two times this has been a issue were they would bring out my date her food but I would never receive mys.. the first time I came here both our food came out within 15-20 minutes second time I came here heard food came out and my food came out 45 minutes later then third time I came which was today and my food never showed up it was pretty obvious that the cooks were doing to be spiteful but I don't understand why. Chilangos Tacos & Tacos La Banqueta will forever be both my top 2 authentic taco places! They are definitely a local gem. The tacos are tiny but mighty. I love how small they chop up the meat because it just makes it easier to eat. The gorditas are filled with flavor and the bread is just so yummy. I really recommend the flour tortillas because I love how fluffy they are compared to the corn tortillas. The salsa is so spicy but in the best way possible....
