Going to address timing first because that seems to be a concern with this restaurant based on previous reviews. My husband and I called in to place an order on a Sunday night and was told the time to complete the order would be 50-60mins. We read reviews that they can be slow so we called in advance of us being hungry so that time frame was alright for us. We got there around the 1 hour mark but waited another 15-20 mins for them to complete our order. It seems like there were about 12 other customers dining in at the restaurant and a few people picking up deliveries. We suspect that the restaurant first prioritizes getting food out to customers in the restaurant then the take outs via delivery platforms (bc thereās a set time they are expected to complete the orders by), and lastly the call-in take out orders. We wonder if they didnāt actually start cooking our food until we were there in person. And I suspect timing for dine in and delivery might be better than take out.
However, with that said, we thought the dishes were delicious. All very flavorful and the noodle textures are spectacular. Also, good thing about the food being prepared last minute is that they were still very hot by the time we ate which was great. I also wanted to try their honey cake because Iāve liked honey cakes in the past and let me tell you, their honey cake is the best tasting honey cake Iāve ever had!! You have to try it!
All in all, I think because we managed our expectations that this place would be slow, it didnāt bother us too much. And we really enjoyed the food so I guess we felt like the wait was worth it. Would try dining in there at some point or doing...

I ordered take-out and arrived about 30 mins later as per when I was told my order would be ready. I get there and the girl behind the counter told me itāll be 5 more minutes. I said ok, cool, and go outside. Come back in a few minutes later after I saw the person who walked in after me get their order. Now, thereās the second girl on the register, I ask for my order, she ignores me. The other girl comes back and I ask her and she said the other girl went to go check. The other girl comes back and tells me idk, whatās your name. She goes back and tells me 7 more mins. Ok, I go outside and come back in 10 minutes later and see an order on the table that I grab thinking itās mine since thereās no one at the register and itās what I ordered. The girl comes running after me saying thatās not my order and walks back in. I was back in and ask how much longer for my order and she raises her voice and says ā I said 7 minutes.ā I respond saying itās been over 10 mins. So now the two girls are talking shit behind the counter and ignoring every time I ask how long will this order take, and at this point itās been an hour since I placed the order at this point. Mind you, my order was a $36. It wasnāt a large order, it was two dishes. If I walked in and they had good customer service and said, itāll be 30-40 more mins, the kitchen is busy, than it wouldāve been fine but that wasnāt the case. The customer service is beyond disgusting and not how a restaurant...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDuring our visit to Washington D.C. for the Cherry Blossom Festival, my friend and I were craving the comforting taste of authentic Uyghur cuisine. After some online research, we stumbled upon a restaurant with impressive reviews.
As we stepped into the restaurant, my friend was instantly hit with the nostalgic scent of home. It was a heartwarming moment for her, and I could feel her homesickness easing. We ordered Saozi noodles, Stir-Fried Rice Noodles, and lamb kababs. Each dish was a delicious fusion of flavors that whisked us away from the chaotic streets of downtown D.C. to the familiarity of home.
Back from our trip, I attempted to recreate the Saozi noodles at home, but let's be honest, it didn't come close to the restaurant's version. Both my friend and I found ourselves yearning for another taste of their delectable offerings, vowing to return on our next visit to the D.C. area. I also recommended the restaurant to a friend, and they too had an exceptional experience.
For those new to Uyghur cuisine and lovers of spicy flavors, I recommend trying the Stir-Fried Rice Noodles. They're a traditional local delight that's not to be missed.
Our experience at this restaurant was truly memorable, and we eagerly anticipate our next visit. I sincerely hope everyone has as wonderful an experience as we did at this restaurant, and I extend my best wishes to the restaurant for...
