Chip City — Restaurant in Arlington

I came here for the very first time and thought the place was the cutest.

When we entered the place, the gentleman did not greet us, no pleasantries by any means. I was taking pictures and videos of the place and stated to my mother which cookie I would like. We decided to get 3 cookies, which we split them with each other. We ordered the Chocolate Chip, the Smores cookie, and the Cookie Butter Cookie. They smelled absolutely heavenly.

Once it was time to pay the cashier who was given money in their hand, he thought it was a great idea to place the money on top of the box instead of my mother's hand the same way she gave it to him. I observed the transaction and stated never again would I come to an establishment where we did not feel welcomed, no pleasantries, and money given on a box and not your hand.

In my opinion, the 3 cookies we ordered were absolutely delicious. I love how they were hard on the outside but soft on the inside. The cookies themselves weren't hard as bricks but hard in a sense of freshness and soft and gooey on the inside. Again, the cookies smelled heavenly, and I definitely thought these are some of the best cookies I've had in a long while.

I’ve been meaning to stop into Chip City since they opened a couple weeks ago. My fiancé and I live down the street and I personally have been waiting for a spot to come to Clarendon Crossing to curve this sweet tooth - and Chip City did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, the smell of freshly baked confections, adorable IG ready decor to the lovely smiling faces of Armoni and Kaila, both super knowledgeable, helpful and great to chat with. Chip City is lucky to have such beautiful young ladies a part of their team! Now these cookies, were everythinggg (Crumbl could never in my humble opinion). We bought the 6, as they were running a buy 5 get 1 free promo, and a scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream. So far I’ve had the cinnamon roll and it was perfection. The icing to cookie ratio spot on, crisp on the outside with a soft gooey center, but all the while not being so sweet it sends you into diabetic shock. The cinnamon really shines through. Overall chef’s kiss and tens all around. Will definitely be back for seconds, but maybe this time we’ll walk instead...

We heard about their cookies several years ago but it was not easy for us to go to New York for the cookies especially during the pandemic, so we ordered on line to give them a try and really liked them. Recently we found out that they have a new branch around DC, so we wanted to see if they were as good as we remembered, or was it the $100 price tag for overnight shipping. We already knew how delicious their cookies were so we grabbed 6 cookies. The fresh cookies are much better than the frozen ones and you can eat them immediately. We are so glad to have this store much closer to us now. We would highly recommend going and getting some especially as they have weekly cookies coming out.
