Terrible experience. Ordered a pizza tonight at about 12:15 am. Received no delivery and no word about it for more than 1.25 hours. Called this Dominos. I was put on hold for about 10 minutes. Then someone picked up but didn't answer. I heard voices in the background, but no one responded to me. I hung up, called back and finally got someone. They said that deliveries were taking more than 1.25 hours tonight. No mention of that online, naturally. The person with whom I spoke offered no discount, no apology, no solutions, nothing. I called back a while later to try to cancel my order, because I was no longer hungry and wanted to go to bed. After several unsuccessful attempts to get someone on the line, an employee of this store finally picked up. I said I did not want the food anymore, and he hung up on me.
FOLLOW-UP TO ORIGINAL POST: December 16. A person named Bilal called me to talk about the complaint. He said he was from the store on Lee Hwy but did not identify his position at that location. He offered an apology and credits that could be applied to future orders. His apology lacked any emotion, and I did not feel that he particularly cared that I was upset. I said that I would still not be ordering from Domino's anymore, because I did not get the sense that any action had been taken with regard to my complaint. At no point in the conversation did he say anything about the employee who hung up on me having been spoken to or about measures had been taken to fix the issues that led to a two-hour wait for delivery. Bilal was initially confused about which night I ordered and then said that he did not know who was working that evening. That led me to wonder whether he had the necessary authority to address personnel issues. Regarding the wait time, he said that the night in question was "busy." Read moreThis was one of the worst pizza experience I have ever had. I am actually in the food service industry and the lack of customer service skills was outright unbelievable. I ordered a signature pizza at 7:00 pm. Around 7:45 pm the on line tracker had indicated it was delivered. After 15 minutes I decided to call the store to see if there was a mishap of some sort. The person on the phone was doing his best. There was a language barrier, but he was trying to help. The end result was the driver was lost. Once again I understand mistakes happen. The pizza arrived at 8:10 pm and was ice cold, which with a tip was $26 dollars. I hardly ever complain, but felt this was unacceptable and called the restaurant back. I ask to talk to the manager on duty to try to resolve this mistake, which I understand can mistakes can happen. I have been in the restaurant/hospitality industry for over 30 years. When the manager got on the phone (Hann) he was absolutely the worst customer service representative I have ever met. He was defensive saying " You did get the pizza " over and over again. I was polite and trying to let him know it wasn't about getting the pizza, it was the fact that when I did get the pizza it was not to the standards they seem to uphold. I'm sure someone put up big money to be here and to only have ran into the ground by bad management. Let's be real the pizza sells itself how do you even mess that up!!! How rude is it to have someone tell the customer that the order is canceled and refuse to make it? You would think something bad happened or maybe someone was rude!? No!!!!! Simply called and said I forgot to ask for thin crust and he said it's already being made. (The reason we have to get thin crust is because they never cook the regular crust all the way through here) She asked if it can be remade or I would have to cancel. He said well cancel it then and hung up on her. They have commercials!!!!! If you drop it they will remake it on TV!!!!
