For dinner tonight I went to the KFC on Cooper & Sublett here in Arlington TX. I ordered the 16 PC chicken only 1/2 original, 1/2 crispy so we could have some quick lunches/dinners & no cooking. I paid $26 including tax & only got 12 pieces, mostly original.
That location has poor customer service. I had gone inside to place my order & stood at the counter for 5 minutes & not one person acknowledged my presence. There were 3 people on the back line not doing very much. The person who was taking care of 3 customers ahead of me was running around the backline filling one order, the person doing drive through was doing the same thing for his customers. There was yet another person (not a manager) standing behind the counter in a doorway doing absolutely nothing. I decided I would get better service at the drive through. I placed my order & patiently waited as my car slowly made it to the window to pick up my order. The guy handling the drive through confirmed my order & handed me a bag containing one bucket (small). When I asked him if there were 16 pieces in there he said "yes". I've had this order before & know that it's always filled two buckets. I got home, counted the pieces & sure enough I was short 4 pieces. I contemplated going back there to have them fix the problem, but opted not to. My BP is high enough & I just wasn't up to dealing with a crew of idiots. This is just another example of the restaurants & fast food chains in Arlington TX displaying horrible customer service.
To the crew at this particular KFC, I hope you enjoyed your $5 tip. You won't be the recipient of my business going forward, since your competition (Wingstop, Popeye's & Church's, even Chicken Express đ€ź) is in your neighborhood. The next time I get a craving for KFC, I'll go to the Mansfield TX location on 157 & Debbie Ln. They may be a couple miles out of the way, but they always have good service. Dear KFC Customer Service Team,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the experience I had at your Arlington location on 5900 S Cooper St. My recent visit on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, left me very disappointed with the customer service I received, and I feel compelled to bring this matter to your attention.
I placed an order for an 8-piece chicken meal (Order Number: 213547794) through your mobile app at 3:20 pm, and according to the app, my order was scheduled to be ready for pickup by 3:30 pm. However, when I arrived at the restaurant, the staff informed me they could not find my order. After I provided my order number, they eventually located it but continued to make me wait while serving other customers who had arrived after me.
Despite my continued presence and the fact that I was waiting with my child, who understandably became cranky due to the prolonged wait from 3:30 pm until 4:15 pm, the staff made no effort to expedite my order. Only after I repeatedly inquired did they finally complete it. To my disappointment, there was no apology, no thank you, and not even a hint of friendliness or acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused.
I am deeply frustrated by this lack of basic customer service and courtesy. Waiting for nearly an hour, especially with a young child, was challenging, and the staffâs indifference only added to the unpleasant experience.
I hope that KFC can address this matter with the staff at this location to ensure other customers do not face a similar experience in the future. I believe all customers deserve prompt and respectful service.

My order showed ready on my online order, said go inside and get my food from the counter. I pull up and all lights off, open sign on, doors locked. I pull to the drive thru to hear an automated closed recording. So back up to the front and see worker sitting at a table eating chicken. She said we're closed. I said but my online order says ready, she goes and gets 3 people from the back also eating chicken, telling me they are out of chicken. I said there's a to go bag there in takeout counter full of food they said quickly its not mine, without even asking my name. So the whole time i'm yelling to talk to them thru the glass windows. They tell me to cancel my order online. I asked do I get my money back right away ? Yea she says. No. I didn't. I had to call corporate line and wait 3 days for refund on my "successfully placed and ready to pick up order." I wasn't happy with the 30 minutes round trip gas used, not to mention driving even more looking for somewhere else to feed my already hungry family. I was told I would get compensated for my gas.. $5 a gallon. No. I didn't. Don't bother wasting your hard earned money here. Garbage values and customer service.
