FOOD INSTAGRAM: @northtx.gemz •••• 🍒 WHAT THEY’RE KNOWN FOR: not sure but they are in the suburbs of south Arlington and seems to be loved by the community here based off Google Reviews. 🍒 THE VIBE: casual mom & pop shop. Pretty spacious. 🍒 PRICE: ~$30 🍒 WOULD I COME BACK? No. •••• Overall Rating: 7.5/10 I love trying new Vietnamese places and this was one of them! I believe it was a Vietnamese Chinese type of fusion based off of both of the items being offered. I will say the sesame chicken was pretty juicy but not as spicy as I hoped. It’s off a scale of 3 and I got a 2 but I could’ve gotten a 3 tbh. The flavor was good but the vibrant red color threw me off. It was a pretty good dish overall tho I ate majority of it. I thought my mom’s pho tasted pretty good but it she said it lacked flavor so to each their own. It wasn’t bad at all! I took off most points bc of the ambiance. I didn’t like how the owner kept shouting at this high school employees to do this and that. It made them feel awkward and I could clearly see our server just being super awkward and not himself bc of it. He even told the server to tell us to move from big table to the small table just in case a party of 6+ comes in like I highly doubt that because they were literally about to close lol and there was plenty of open tables. It was just such an awkward experience and I wouldn’t be surprised if these...

Frequent diner, No more! Called order in ahead of time... verified my order with the young lady I spoke with. Picked up my food, serving size was much smaller than when I dine in here. However, my biggest issue, my order was wrong. I took my food back in and the owner or manager got involved. The young lady I spoke with was on another call (taking an order) and the manager is standing there belittling her and telling her she can't take orders on phone because she always messes up.

After finding out from her that she confirmed my order, he told her that she informed me wrong. He then turned to me,after paying $13.00 for combination fried rice, and told me it would be $2.50 more to add in beef. I told him to forget I would take the food as is.

After getting to my car, I couldn't help but be angry! Feeling over charged, under served and embarrassed for the young lady...I took the food back in and requested a refund. For me, it's principles and when you don't even own your mistake, correct it and berate your employees publicly.... I just can't support it. Needless to say, we, more than likely will not be dining here again. I refuse to force my money onto someone and that's how you treat customers and...

i love their food but i had a really bad experience there and i don’t think i’ll be back because of it 😭 i left my wallet here on a sunday and went back on wednesday (they’re closed monday and tuesday) and asked if they had it and the young girl working the front told me she didn’t work sunday so she didn’t know if they had it and didn’t check if they did at all, shrugged and said sorry so i left. i came back on thursday and asked again if they had it and they said they hadn’t seen any wallets recently and the older man working told me they don’t steal from customers (?????) and as i was going to leave my number in case they found it the older man pulled my wallet out from under the counter, not anywhere near where they showed me they kept the lost and found items 😭 i understand it was my fault i left my wallet there in the first place but it rubbed me the wrong way a lot that none of the workers seemed to really care about helping me by looking for it and then it was there the whole time and the dude thought i was trying to say they were stealing from me ??? what a shame because i really love their food but i just can’t come back...
