Update: They respond with malice. Like said go to any other location just dont go on fielder!
On October 10, 2022 my family went out to dinner. When we arrived we ordered DINE IN and drinks. The lady handed me our plates and I went back to get the cups. The man hesitates to hand me my cups but I preceeded to go and fill my family with drink. I notice I can not get anything but sweet tea. I am still trying to figure out if it's me or the machine and the man returns and ask me about muly order. He say you were only wrung up for the pizza. I tell him speak with your employee because I ordered drinks, my husband and I had had a discussion about med vs large where I explained to him there was only kids and large, he continues to tell me about prices and what he noticed when his employee wrung the order up. I again say go speak to your employee. My husband now approaches. The issue could have been resolved with a simple ma'am she didn't get your drink order would you like to order drinks. But the bigger question is who is dining in with an entire family without a drink even water. We then waited for our food after having to clear up someone's lack of customer service.
Our Pizza: the pizza arrived at the table with us confused how someone who was never cooking when we arrived, the rude man, now making our pizza. The pizza appeared very hot yet undercooked. We tasted the meat. It was so old it tasted of refrigerator and was mush in your mouth. We left. Just dropped the pizza off at the counter, informed that we didn't want it and left. This is a repeat of us trying this particular mama's pizza and it will definitely be our last. 33$ down the drain.
Again this is the location in fielder I have had great experiences at other locations particularly the location...
Read moreMama's has a following in the areas it has restaurants. We had the lunch buffet, which included the salad bar with about 20 items to make a salad for yourself. It was clean this time, but I have seen it messed up as the rush to get food and people just throw food everywhere on the serving cart.
Self-serve for pizza and drinks, too. They set out 5 pizzas on the service island and keep rotating in various kinds while always trying to keep a good mix of meats, or cheese only, or vegetables on top, too. I just wish you had a larger selection. Otherwise, just wait a couple of minutes, and a couple of new pizzas will be brought out. They really try and keep it fresh as possible. The pizzas have a medium to thin bottom, without any cheese in the edges, just a garlic butter on some. Enough sauce and toppings on every slice to keep you satisfied. I think it was about $12 ea +tax with a drink for buffet.
The atmosphere is in an older Pizza Inn building. A few TV's are on to keep you busy. There are a couple of games for kids in the corner, too. Mom and pop chains...
Read moreHad not been back to Mama's Pizza since the late 70's early 80's. Forgot about them completely. Driving by, I saw the restaurant and remembered the amazing times there, figured it was a case of romanticizing the past. It had been a favorite haunt of my crowd in our teens and very early 20s.
Stopped in to grab some to go for my adult sons, and nostalgically grabbed my old favorites, the cheese sticks and the dipping sauce I remembered as being SO addictive.
Past and present collided as soon as I tried a bite. All these years later, many, MANY pizza places later, and Mama's Pizza is still as fabulous as I recalled. Only problem was, the dipping sauce (I got six, just in case it was as wonderful as I recalled) did not last as long as I hoped. I ate several of them with my cheese sticks. A few days later has the rest with another (much closer) pizza place's mozzarella bites.
May not make it there as often due to a busier life, but every time I am in the area, a stop at Mama's...
