Shipley Do-Nuts — Restaurant in Arlington

I keep wanting to support because Shipleys has great breakfast food but this particular location is the WORST! Okay so you're on Pioneer Parkway where there's medium to heavy traffic and you do not keep popular menu items up and ready... It's a donut shop!! I used to work for Shipleys and we always kept certain items ready to go. I pulled up girl look highly confused and when I asked how long it would take to make more kolaches it would take 30 min to bake 6 so we left... Now I've gotten a door dash order and it's taking over a hour and half to get my order and my Dasher has been sitting there for over 45 min for 4 items. Even Whataburger on a busy evening doesn't take that long to drop fresh pies. This location really needs to get it together. Either they're not prepping correctly but a donut shop doesn't take 30min-1hr for donuts and kolache!! I'm surprised my Dasher didn't cancel my order. Shiny new location but horrible time management and service. Pantego is where I'll continue to go to...

A personal favorite! The staff is friendly, they've given suggestions for me to try because I'm a regular there, and they gave my daughter free donut holes for her birthday. I prefer these donuts to Krispy Kreme any day! The only thing I wish is that they had later hours because I'd love to grab a donut after normal business hours or a coffee but other than that no complaints.

Edit: As of October 2024 I'm very disappointed in this store. The lady they have working the drive though and most often the front counter has messed up my order twice and they've blamed me for it. I actually had to talk to the cook in the back the one time all for them to tell me TWICE I'm not explaining it clearly enough to her. If I ask what flavor the breakfast sandwichs are and then tell you I want that flavor... After having that talk... How much do I end up with a Kolache? How much clearer could I be? Horrible...

Was out taking a drive when I noticed a Shipley Do-Nuts on pioneer prkwy. I made a u turn pulled in . The parking lot was clean. I entered and was greeted with a warm hello. Clean inside also. I saw that the gentleman behind the counter had on a Marines hat. I told him thank you for your service. The wonderful lady was his wife. This was my 1st time trying these donuts. Yummy Yummy. I would recommend 1 and all to stop by and get a few for friends or the office. Good donuts. Great prices. The owner is Johnathan he's outstanding and caring for the community.
