VERY IMPORTANT EDIT/UPDATE AT THE END! I’m a very shy person, but shopping here was so easy and comfortable. I didn’t feel pressured or coerced into buying anything, and the saleswoman was kind and explained everything in detail. I came looking for bangles because I’m a second-generation Indonesian American and always wanted to own bangles like my mom did. We weren’t able to find any bangles like my mom’s (understandable, since my mom’s bangles are from Indonesia and over 40 years old; they’re “out of style” so to say) but they showed me a bunch of different modern options and I was able to find two bangles I loved. They felt similar enough to my mom’s that I had that sense of familiarity and belonging, but also unique and modern enough that I felt like they had their own sense of self. After I chose which bangles I wanted, the saleswoman made sure to show me and my mom the scale so we knew exactly how many grams of gold the bracelets were, showed us her calculations for the price, then took out a machine for measuring gold content and showed us exactly how many karats it was. I felt very reassured that what I was buying was genuine gold for the right amount as she made sure to show us that the scale and machine were calibrated properly and did not react to non-precious metal. She also shared that her husband and son (who were assisting other customers) had degrees in I believe it was gemology (I forget the exact language) and had their diplomas displayed on the wall. At the end, after I paid, she helped put them on and gave us a beautiful pouch to store them in if I ever take them off (which I certainly don’t plan to!) and gave detailed advice on how to care for the bangles and make sure they stay sparkly and white (I chose white gold). She also let us know that we could bring them back for cleaning whenever we needed. I definitely hope to return in the future, either to invest in more bangles or to purchase other jewelry items. Because I came for a specific reason, I didn’t browse very much, but the selections that I glimpsed while choosing and looking at bangles seemed diverse and tasteful. Looking forward to purchasing from them in the future! EDIT/UPDATE: This store is a godsend. The same day I bought my bangles, I noticed one of the charms had disappeared. As you can see in the photo from right after I bought it, the charms are very delicate, and it seems one had broken off as I usually do chores on Sundays and had just finished cleaning the house. In retrospect, I shouldn’t have worn the bracelets while doing manual labor, but they were so pretty I didn’t want to part with them. After combing the carpet in my house four an hour or so, my mom happened to find the charm and I set the bangle and charm aside so I wouldn’t lose or damage it further. The next day I called them on my lunch break to see if anything could be done about the broken bangle. The same saleswoman from Sunday responded and was very understanding; she reassured me that because the bangles are almost pure gold, things like that happen, and they’re willing to repair the bangle free of charge any time. My fiance bought my engagement ring here and he told me how much he learned just going in there and how honest the managers are. He was intimidated at first with the process but they were so patient! They walked him through everything and made sure he knew exactly what he was doing and buying. It truly shows that they know the diamond business inside and out! They are GIA certified, have a microscope on site for you to check your rings, honestly, everything positive the others in the reviews have said is true. If going to another store, try asking them for their GIA certificate and look for a microscope and you'll see the difference. Hoang Son Jewelry truly wants you to get the best deal and will not rush you to make any decisions. You can try to compare the same exact ring they sell to any brand-name stores and you'll see how much of a rip off the others are. They actually suggested us to go around to compare at different stores, and we did. There is no comparison.

Also, you do need to make an appointment your first time. It's just business and it's completely understandable. So if you're not being let in, just give them a call. It's simple and one shouldn't take it personally. I'm Asian and my family had to make an appointment as well. It's not a race thing; it's a safety issue.
