I have tried to give this conveniently located Starbucks many chances . . . due to the pandemic I have been ordering via UberEats, just to stay out of the public as much as possible, even though they are just 4 blocks from my apartment.
Today, I placed and order for my usual, and one of the items was incorrect. It was annoying, because this was going to be the only meal I ate for several hours, and I just wanted some peace in the morning. I had to report the incorrect item in UberEats, but they informed me there was nothing they could do at this time.
I regrettably decided to walk down to this location to see if they could just switch it out. When I told the girl what happened, she went in the back for a few minutes and came to tell me they were out of that item, and they just substitute things when they're out of it . . . but how do you know what I want? What if I'm allergic?
I understand running out of something, and have been called by others in the past when there was a shortage, but to just shrug and replace my out of stock item with another random item seems like bad customer service.
After she told me that, I told her I would just take the wrong item back and give it to one of my housemates, but she informed she had THROWN IT AWAY . . . I asked her why, I paid for it? She told me she would get me another one, but I just told her forget about it and I left.
I know many will think this is absolutely trivial to get upset about, but this is not the first time this location has messed up my order, and we all can relate to little things in the morning, during a pandemic, helping us get through the day.

But anyway before I decide to order I went to use the restroom its morning time. After being in there only a few minutes a very very rude staff member comes knocking aggressively on the door so I come out and I said yes and her name is Maddie she's one of the managers and I'm like yes and she was just like what I'm just forget you were knocking on the door when I went in the bathroom and she was like oh I knock on all the doors and I was just like yeah but I was in the bathroom you saw me going to the bathroom yeah but I was checking on is what she said unless you didn't check you just kind of banged him ran kind of like ding dong ditch she didn't stick around long enough for me to say anything back to you or anything and I felt like I was being profile and disrespected all at the same time I explain to her that I was using the restroom and she told the nice young man who was taking my order to give me a refund but he was like they're already starting to make his espresso so she just turned around ignoring me but I end up paying and leaving I know my pennies don't mean much to Starbucks but this one will never...
Read moreI specifically downloaded the app this morning because I was running late for my meeting and wanted to place an order for a breakfast egg bites to pick up on my way. Upon arrival, I’m told that somebody else took my order because they don’t have a system to give people their orders. They just line up the orders on the counter and anybody can grab whatever they want. So I patiently waited for them then make me another one, however I was told they don’t have them anymore so they cannot make the order. I asked for a refund and I was told they can only refund me to the app and not to my credit card. I told them I don’t have a need for the app anymore, the only reason I downloaded it was just to pick up this one order this morning. The two young ladies in the front quickly got attitude that this the way it is and they don’t have any other way to refund my money back to the credit card I ordered with. Upon asking for the manager manager, indeed could refund the money back to the credit card. I would never go back to this Starbucks because they’re not just a waste of time they’re not courteous, don’t have a good process in place to process peoples orders and the people working there lack simple customer service skills behind...
