Superette — Restaurant in Arlington

I simply just don’t understand this place. They make such amazing food but the service and management team is horrific. I had an order back in July that took over 2 hours to get to me and I live 15 minutes from the restaurant. I talked to the manager who was very nice, apologized, and assured me this wouldn’t happen again (and I believe I ended up leaving a good review for it). I hadn’t ordered from here in months because despite the managers efforts to remediate the situation, it still left me frustrated. Finally today I decide to give them another chance. The order took way longer than expected (per usual), and then my order comes without the side that I specifically ordered. I don’t understand why the attention to detail with delivery orders is so poor. They take forever to deliver them, and then don’t even have the foresight to do any sort of quality assurance. I could feel that the order didn’t come with a side the moment I picked up the bag. They couldn’t identify this when they prepared it, packaged it, or delivered it. I hate leaving a bad review because the food is incredible and I don’t want this to reflect any of the employees that work in the kitchen. This is purely customer service employees not having the necessary due diligence that’s required to operate a restaurant that offers take out, and that itself is a reflection of poor management. Given that this happening for the second time in a row, despite speaking with a manager a few months back, I have little to no faith that situations like this will cease...

This place is official. The service was great and the food was sensational. Our host, also named Alex, was outstanding. When we first passed by, we asked about the Cuban sandwich and his response was amazing. We were so impressed that we decided to eat there for lunch.

When we returned, Alex greater us with a smile and suggested the Short Rib sandwich. He told us about the marinade process the meat goes through and I was sold. I got mine with fries. Toasted roll with Chipotle airlines, Avocado, arugula and an Ancho Chile Braised and then Pulled Short Rib topped with Gruyere cheese..... that sounds right up my alley.

Let me tell you the fries were cooked to perfect, such so that I finished 3/4 of em before taking a bite from the sandwich. The Short Rib sandwich did not disappoint. It was packed with layer upon layer of flavor. Such a great sandwich that I just had to rave about it.

The only thing I regret is not taking pictures. Some of the other items I tried were the Home-made, hand-cut chips. They were light crispy and full of flavor. For dessert I went for the Deep fried Oreos. Fenominal. My co-worker and I tried the Chocolate Bread pudding and were just blown away by the awesome goodness we had just experienced.

This is a great place to grab a bite and really enjoy a simple lunch. Top 3 in my sandwich spots...

My family and I revisited Superette today for a second time and we were left speechless at how DELICIOUS their food was! We were there about a month ago and had their savory bread pudding but we said that we were going to go back to try their sandwiches and fries. It was wonderful to see the kind server, Michelle, who helped us with her recommendation of the bread pudding at our last visit. She assisted us with our orders and helped me settle on the blackened chicken sandwich which was PERFECTION! My wife ordered the BLT with extra bacon and our son ordered the short rib sandwich.....the were both 10/10! The fries with the special dipping sauce......10/10. Alllll of the sauces that our server Alexis brought to the table were delicious. We tried them with our fries and on our sandwiches. We also had 2 Superette Sangria's and a Frose'.....SUPER REFRESHING and very tasteful! The staff at Superette are warm, pleasant and enjoyable. That type of customer service always elevates an already great experience. We are officially loyal customers. Thank you Michelle and Alexis for another gratifying experience...
