I'd been wanting to try this place for over a year at least. I sometimes to go Il Radicchio, and this taco truck can always been seen from the restaurant - just down the street. I kept forgetting about it except when I was already eating at Il Radicchio. Finally, my friend remembered one afternoon when we were in Clarendon. "Let's go to your taco truck!" I was SO excited, and upon arrival was not disappointed. Hands down, the best tacos I've ever had. Here's why: corn tortillas are my favorite when COOKED. They should be heated in olive oil - not served cold and raw like so many joints do. This place heats them up just perfectly. Then there is the blend of flavors. Absolutely perfect balance. We have been back a few times. Even the drinks are great! I am not a soda fan, generally speaking, but the guava Jarritos is very good. Sadly, they no longer make mango. The prices are great, and you can tell the owners are passionate about their food. The park is super pleasant to eat in, and I so appreciate that the business hours are set. You always know when/where to find Tacos Los Primos. The consistency is appreciated on everything! They never fail to delight. The fish tacos are my favorite. YUM! The quesadillas are also outstanding. I wish it'd not taken so long to...
Read moreI had a torta and a few tacos. I only tried carne Asada and al pastor. The tortillas are good, as well as the torta bread. The carne asada tacos had a good flavor and seasoning. The Al Pastor need work but to each its own. The carne asada torta was not for me. The carne asada torta was just not for me. It's the cream or mayo that they use just doesn't work in the torta for me but again, to each its own. It's just coming from a Mexican who grew up in Baja California Norte, MX, and southern California. I'm just trying food while traveling through DC. Southern California, as well as Baja California, has become the melting pot of traditional Mexican food. Everyone from different parts of Mexico has created a different experience of flavors on the southern west coast of the U.S. I have to admit that the US has traditional Mexican food throughout the country that may surpass the southern west coast. Try Tacos los primos so you can form your own opinion. My opinion is just based on the two meats that I tried. I did notice the lady that several people mentioned in the comments. I think it's just her strong personality that comes across as rude. I dont think she is doing it on purposes, or at least I...
