Texas Fish Chicken — Restaurant in Arlington

This was my first visit. PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR RECEIPT! Don't be shocked if you're charged an ADMIN FEE! CHECK ORDER BEFORE LEAVING! Obie noticed he forgot a meal included in a customer's order before she walked out. The environment can become very chaotic! Obie was very patient and professional with each customer that walked through the door.

My order included 4 whole wings 1/2 Chicago lemon pepper, 1/2 hot honey w/ jalapeño poppers. Chopped cheese sandwich w/ fries & drink. Fish and shrimp combo w/ 2 catfish fillets, 4 jumbo shrimp, onion rings, 2 slices of bread. Chocolate & lemon cake.

Went to the location on park row first and their grill was down so I came to this one. Got here to be told it's a 30 minute wait on a steak bowl because it wasn't prepped. Then basically proceeded to wait that long anyway for some nasty fried mushrooms, 4 wings and a handful of fries. The chicken was cooked decently but there is no way it takes almost 30 minutes to fry chicken. I'm mad I wasted my money. I should've just went somewhere else when the first location was having issues. It wasn't even busy on top of that. 2 people had call in orders that were ready when they got there and it was two older ladies already eating. Time and money was super waisted!! I recently ordered the chicken and fish combo with fries and okra, along with a second order of nuggets, 4 shrimp, onion rings, and fries. My total was $47.55.

From the first bite, I was instantly disappointed. The food tasted like it was cooked in old, dirty grease. Everything had the same unpleasant flavor—including the fish and chicken, which clearly had been fried in the same oil. To make matters worse, everything was overcooked and extremely hard.

There was no seasoning, and we couldn’t even taste the so-called Chicago lemon pepper due to the overwhelming taste of old oil. This was a complete waste of nearly $50.

This was my first time ordering—and it will absolutely be my last. The quality and care in preparation were unacceptable....
