Hold on to your meatballs, folks, because Pomodoro's Pasta and Subs restaurant deserves a standing ovation. Let me tell you the tale of how this extraordinary establishment saved the day, impressed our taste buds, and proved that they reign supreme over their rival, Pasghetti's restaurant.
In our darkest hour, when my grandma's funeral was looming over our heads like a gray cloud, Pomodoro's came to the rescue. We were in dire need of catered food that would satisfy our grieving souls and pay tribute to our Gma. And boy, did they deliver!
The first phone call I made to Pomodoro's was like a warm embrace from mawmaw herself. The person on the other end exuded such genuine kindness and empathy that I could practically hear them whispering, "Don't worry, we've got you covered." Their willingness to go above and beyond to ensure our event was handled with care was the first hint that we were in for something truly special.
Now, let's talk about the food. Oh mama mia, the food! Pomodoro's concocted a feast fit for a Roman emperor (or in this case, a grieving family in need of comfort). The pasta was cooked to perfection, the sauces were rich and flavorful, and the subs were stuffed to the brim with ingredients that could make any sandwich aficionado weak in the knees. It was a symphony of flavors that danced on our tongues, momentarily making us forget the sorrow that brought us together.
But here's where the real magic happened—Pomodoro's outshined their nemesis, Pasghetti's, with their unparalleled culinary prowess. While Pasghetti's might have its catchy name and gimmicky decor, it was clear that Pomodoro's had the upper hand when it came to taste. Pasghetti's might have tried to win us over with their "al dente" noodles, but Pomodoro's took us on a flavor journey that left us singing "That's Amore" all night long.
And let's not forget about the staff at Pomodoro's. These folks had us with their awesome personalities.
So, dear foodies and funeral planners alike, do yourselves a favor and choose Pomodoro's Pasta and Subs for your next event. They will not only cater to your every culinary need but also provide an atmosphere that transcends sadness and turns it into a celebration of life. With their delicious food, outstanding service, and side-splitting humor, Pomodoro's has undoubtedly earned the crown in the battle of the Italian restaurants.
Pomodoro's, you've won our hearts and stomachs, and we'll forever be grateful for the love and laughter you brought to our Grandma's farewell. Grazie mille, Pomodoro's, for turning our tears into a bittersweet symphony of flavors. You truly are the spaghetti-slinging superheroes we never...
Read moreI was very disappointed with Pomodoros sub sandwiches. I decided to order catered food for an Easter get together with about 20 guests this year. I had Pomodoros at a work gathering and thought I would give them a try. I ordered 3 family deals which included a 16" sub sandwich, a 1/2 gallon of pasta, a 1/2 gallon of salad and a 16" garlic bread with each order. I also ordered an extra 16" sub. The service was excellent with the manager helping me decide my order and having enough food for my guests. I picked my food up a day early with everything packaged nicely, even lettuce on the side to put on the subs the next day, preventing them from sogginess. The cost with a coupon was over $100. The disappointment came on Easter when the sub sandwiches were opened to serve. Unlike the photos on the website and the sandwiches I previously had, there was very little meat and cheese on ALL of them. Nothing was overlapped or folded and was not even visible at a side view. The meat and cheese were paper thin and didn't even stretch to the sides or end of the bread! Fortunately, my sister had brought a baked ham to my event. It was embarrassing seeing All of my guests putting the baked ham slices on their sandwiches just to get a taste of meat! While everything else was very good, I have to say the sandwiches were poorly prepared and not worth the money I spent! I wouldn't recommend their sandwiches for...
Read moreWonderful Italian restaurant located here in the Arnold area, reminds me a lot of the La Gondola chain in northern Illinois. So if your familiar this will taste a little like home and vice versa. Anyway, they have large menu with plenty of family size options. Everything is reasonably priced and well portioned. The bread is delicious and sweet, same with the red sauce. The cheese bread and sauce to dunk in is where it’s at. Great meatballs as well. I also tried their super sub sandwich, fantastic well portioned for the 8”.
There is plenty of space in the restaurant for dining in and enough space to wait for a to go order. They do take call in orders as well, but either way the service is fast and friendly. The restaurant and kitchen look very clean as well as...
