Starbucks — Restaurant in Arroyo Grande

After a quick workout I needed a quick pick me up to start my day! Today I ordered the following:

Apple Crisp Oatmilk macchiato (320 cal $5.95 ) water (grande free :)) Pumpkin and Pepita Loaf (390 cal vegetarian $3.65)

Water is water :)

The Apple crisp oatmilk macchiato is a bold yet satisfying kick. After the initial purest of strong roast the Apple crisp starts to kick in. Imagine an Apple crisp pie and a vanilla macchiato made a baby and that’s the taste of the Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato. It left me with a warmth and overall joy. In fact taking me to a more Christmas like drink ;) for all the holiday lovers!

The pumpkin and Pepita loaf is quite a flavorful loaf!!!

I love the consistency and texture!

It’s got the perfect spongy texture and the two flavors do not overpower each other more compliment each other :)

When you take a bite of the loaf and have a sip of the Apple crisp macchiato together it’s a delicious flavorful explosion with your tastebuds!!!

I definitely recommend this combination!

As far as the staff they were friendly and willing to answer questions.

Took about 5 mins to get my items. One outlet bench isn’t working however there are other places to sit and charge up and work :)

Maybe it was just an off day and it was not super busy so there is no excuse for the poor service. We into this location with my daughter this morning. Gave the cashier our orders which she had to re-ask us on food item and specifically ask if my daughter wanted cinnamon and whipped cream on her blended drink which was answered as yes. I paid and did not get a receipt- save tree. We were not asked our name for the order so we were best guessing when grabbing our order items. There was a drink similar to my daughter's order but smaller with no whip so we asked about it and noted we had ordered a venti with whip she asked for our receipt which I did not have. Her comment- We'd give you a venti if you paid for a venti. She then looked down and completely ignored the rest of what I was saying. Just did not acknowledge me at all. I didn't want to make scene about stupid drink, but this was just straight up RUDE and really pissed me off. Starbuck's makes mistakes all of the time and they are usually kindly rectified. The order was never read back to me before finalizing the transaction. I guess it is the customer's responsibility to ensure workers do their job correctly- fine, but the rudeness is...

This Starbucks has horrible service. I do the mobile order because their wait time when ordering in store is terrible. That being said they never make the drinks correct. They are never blended so the top half of the cup is bitter and the bottom half is too sweet. When I try to mention this to the staff, not all of them mind you, they give me the stink eye. Ive worked for a place that made and served starbucks coffee drinks and there is a standard which this location does not meet.

Update: 12/19/23. Had descent drinks the last couple weeks and then the last couple days have reverted back to below standard. Today I picked up my drink and there is a just below half an inch of white mocha sauce at the bottom of the cup, it clearly wasn’t blended correctly. There is a girl there that is usually very nice and will remake it, I thought she was the manager, nope…the ‘manager’ was the girl making the drinks. So the manager is making drinks below Starbucks standard…way to...
