My family and I used to always dine here. We won’t be coming here again. It was a slow Wednesday morning, patio seating was empty, as well as half of the restaurant. We had finished our breakfast the owners kept pacing back and forth by our table. We were only there for 1 hour. Although we had finished breakfast we decided to sit and finish enjoying our coffee. It was uncomfortable having the owners and waitresses looking at our table wanting us to leave, yet we had a right to keep sitting there finishing our meal. The owner came up to us and snatched the bill from our table. Then she said we had to leave because she needed the table, yet no customers in sight. We didn’t even finish our coffee. It wasn’t even a nicely manner. About 4 other tables were seated and another couple was sitting and talking just like us. Yet none of them got kicked out like us. It seems like these owners only are money hungry and care about having customers in and out. It’s nice to go out for breakfast without having them breathing down your neck to hurry up and leave. They should reconsider and be grateful for their costumers and not have greed written on their forehead.
I have ate at better restaurants including Texas Roadhouse and Olive Garden and they are more humble than this place. NOWHERE does it say 1 hour maximum at any place I’ve been including yours. I suggest a huge sign to make it clear that you want your costumers in and out. I was not there 3 hours I believe you got me confused. There was not a line either. Appreciate the costumers who keep your business running and...
Read moreA month ago I left a stellar review and today we went in and they were totally slammed and the staff couldn't handle it! Especially the hostess!!! The whole time there were people waiting to be seated. We were about to leave, we had been there for about one and half hours, the hostess came up and asked us to leave because she needed to seat more people!!! I have never ever been asked to leave from a restaurant, doesn't make a difference if they need to seat people or not that is ABSOLUTELY RUDE and shouldn't happen at all!!! They have awesome food and prices but the service is atrocious and being run by an absolutely RUDE hostess!!! I will never set foot in this establishment again because of her rudeness!!! NO EXCUSE TO ASK YOUR PATRONS TO LEAVE because of your inability to perform your job properly and to be able to handle the situation at hand!!! TOTALLY UNORTHODOX AND RIDICULOUS!! (ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTIONS) BOTTOM LINE, This is about the Hostess being rude and asking us to leave which you never do!! Excellent food, excellent prices that I stated earlier in my review! I gave an above average tip to the waitress because of her fine service!!! And because of this situation in your establishment the customer that apologized for me caused a confrontation in the parking lot, to which he should have minded his own business and shouldn't be a busy body!! Because of her ignorance of asking us to leave causing that situation!!! I'm absolutely not returning to your...
Read moreIt's the attention to detail. My wife and I went in on a busy Sunday morning. George was sitting at the register and I was in front of him reading some art work on the wall. My wife says a 2 top table opened up by the kitchen and she heard him say that this was our first time and to put us in a booth in the front that was about to open up. I was excited to get such a good table and when she explained why we got it I was flat out impressed.
I ordered a club sandwich and onion rings. Nothing special, but again it was the attention to detail. My lettuce and tomato in the sandwich we're well chilled while the meat and bread were warm. Anybody remember the McBLT? Anyway that hot cold juxtaposition made that a memorable sandwich. I always ask if the onion rings are hand cut (they weren't) and usually don't order them unless they are, but our waitress said they were good. Here, she was right because they weren't over cooked, which most places do. Over cooked rings are dry and tasteless, these were delicious! My wife ordered corn beef hash and it was perfectly crispy; crispy was the attention to detail in those.
When I went to pay, George asked if it was our first time and I thanked him for taking notice and making it such a memorable and delicious experience. FYI the service was also great and I saw they won the best cafe in Jefferson county too. I don't leave many reviews but I figured I'd share so that somebody else can have a...
