Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Arvada

Freaky slow and unreliable.

I put in a straightforward delivery order (2 sandwiches, no customizations) and waited. And waited. I waited for over an hour before I called to ask for a status. They said it they were busy, short-staffed (single driver), but that they'd just sent out my order. That's fine. It's annoying, but I understand being understaffed and overworked.

20 minutes later delivery status showed "eat!" and the driver was nowhere to be found. I searched neighbor's doorsteps and didn't find our order there either. Being so short-staffed, I was told the earliest my order could be sent back out would be another hour and a half(!). They refunded the order. Another hour later, it finally showed up (with the original order, drink ice melted)... that's 2h20 from the original order time.

Something is seriously wrong at this store. The last time I ordered (over a year ago now) it also took over an hour to receive my order, but at least I received it! It'd have been faster to walk to Jimmy Johns, make the sandwich myself, and walk back.

If the franchise owner is reading this: I'm sorry, but you've lost our business with two back-to-back flops (and reading the reviews, it sounds like I'm not the only one). We'll only ever order JJs again if it's not from...

6/12/21 I made an online order around 6pm, when I came to pick it up there was one employee there that didn’t start on sandwiches yet. Than I was told they were out of the bread and I was ok with sandwich bread, but than I was told they were out of tuna, and out of dipping ranch. So I cancelled whole order. Second time I stopped by around 5 pm and I was told they’re actually closed for the day because not enough employees 😬, seems like every time there’s some kind of an issue, 88th and Sheridan is real JJ freaky fast freaky good, I ain’t going back to Wandsworth location.

12/26/21 6:30pm Decided to give this place a chance again, ordered 5 giant subs and regret it again. Sandwiches were made very sloppy, after I unwrapped it meat was out of all sandwiches. Never had this experience at any other JJs than this location. Beach Club had about 1/2” layer of cheese and missing turkey. Employees that were making them didn’t seem to care much and complained how hard it is to make giant subs while using profanity. Not sure if owner ever checks these reviews but if you do, either fix it please or close it up. Oh and this store always has shortages on everything and often close early than scheduled...

Jimmy, you need to do better! You need to be VERY specific when ordering here. Apparently saying "I want everything besides tomato and mayo" is transferred into "just lettuce". This is the second time this happened to me. The first time this happened I thought ok, maybe they didn't hear me. Last time I was there I stood there and waited as they painfully added one item at a time on the screen as I listed them off. This time I again made the mistake of ordering "everything" and got none of it. Mind you there was nobody else there besides me. The sandwich maker is literally 2' from the person running the till. I do not speak quietly. The store is setup so the customer can't see them making the sandwich and it was a takeout. So, unfortunately, I was back at the office before I realized it was once again a dry, $14 lettuce meat and cheese sandwich. Of course it's freakishly fast to make a sandwich with only three ingredients. This will be the last time I eat here cause that's now $28 I've wasted on two dry plain sandwiches. I can buy one of those at 7-11 for $4 and get my own free condiments.
