We've ordered 3 times now to give them a chance. They seem understaffed. The last two times we went, only one person was working. She was juggling taking orders on the phone, in person, and making sandwiches at the same time. (At one point I saw her make part of a sandwich, take an order, then go back to that sandwich, which seems inefficient, but I'm sure she was flustered.) Online ordering for pickup is significantly more expensive than going in and placing an order--no joke $18+ versus $13+ for a full size sandwich. My first time there, I placed an order to go in person for a turkey and avocado sandwich plus another sandwich; they said it would take 20 minutes because they were backed up. So I sat at the bar right behind the kitchen snacking on chips. Just shy of 30 minutes later she brought me my order and said, "I'm so sorry, we're out of avocado". She didn't tell me while making it, didn't offer an adjustment or coupon or anything. I told her that was kind of an important part of the sandwich and it would have been nice to know before she finished making it. She said sorry again and seemed like she was on the verge of a breakdown, so I said it's ok and went on my way. The second time I ordered the same turkey and avocado sandwich, there was avocado on it, but it was impressively paper thin. I thought maybe it was just that time, but I just got the same sandwich again today, and the avocado was again paper thin. What's the point if you can't taste it? My partner's bbq sandwich today had barely any bbq sauce on it. The bread selection is very limited, but I do think it's tasty for sliced bread; I like the wheat. And the giardiniera is really good, if they put enough on so you can taste it. I'd come back if they made consistent sandwiches with balanced toppings, were better staffed, and provided better...
Read moreI had been looking forward to eating here for over a month, since the last time me, my wife and daughter had gone on a date night in downtown Arvada. We arrived at 8:00 p.m., looked over their menu and placed our order around 8:10 p.m. The girl that took our order said they were going to put our food in Togo packaging because they were going to be closing early, but we could still sit and eat there. She said they would just be cleaning up. As we were sitting at the table waiting for our food to be prepared, the cook approached our table and told me we would have to leave immediately after we received our food and that we could not eat inside. Had I known that we were going to have to leave immediately and not be able to eat our food inside, I would NOT have placed my order and spent my money there. So me, my wife and our 5 year old daughter ate our food on a bench by the RTD station in 41° weather. My hot sandwich wasn't even grilled or toasted. My wife and daughter's quesadillas were barely grilled. We WILL NOT be eating here ever again. I suggest you do the same. I spent $46 and left a $15 tip to get kicked out and eat my cold food in the cold. By the way, they close at 9:00 p.m. and it's Saint Patty's Day. Update** I appreciate the the response from the owner so quickly I understand the st. Patty's parade but I spent $60 on food we didn't even finish and I'm not happy about that . I work very hard and when I go out to eat I expect the food to be hot, expect hot food over anything.please...
Read moreI came in to the shop. In my wheelchair with my service dog on my lap. Young lady It told me that they don't allow dogs in the restaurant. Which is understandable. However the dog is my service animal. She asked me what service he provided and I told her. She's told me that she didn't believe me. Its interesting she did this after I ordered my sandwichs. She did mention that if the dog was good he could stay this time. I told her he does not leave my lap. Paid for my order and then moved away from the counter so other customers could be served. She must have forgot what she told me. He told me that she would bring the order outdoors to me. So I left She brought them to me. She was wrong, I am a local and I have been in the restaurant before with my service dog. I have not had any trouble with any of the other merchants. And this includes restaurants in the Old Town. Are that area.In fact I don't have any trouble with any restaurant owner in the metro for area. So i'm going to leave bad reviews. However. I will be back when there are large events in Old Town. I am going Be on the side walk and I wil be talking to people walking in. Encouraging them not to eat there. I will be with my service dog. I'm well known in Arvada. Area.BTW your sandwiches are great. @everyone...
