Read moreMy family and I attended the Arvada Vineyard from 2007 to 2019. It truly was a loving place, especially if you were straight or could pass as straight. They were fine with queer people attending and participating at an entry-level, but not any kind of leadership. The last pastor I spoke to said he had a lot of nuance he preferred to discuss with people; in the end he agreed the bottom line is the same: LGBTQ people are not welcome on stage or as a leader of a small group or anything else if they are not celibate or in a straight-passing relationship.
