My name is Trent Bulen. I am from Denver. Last month I decided it would be great move to get a 2nd job because I wasn’t making enough money to pay bills with my full time job as a sheet metal apprentice. I therefore decided to work for this particular Qdoba at 5095 Kipling st. The reason why I wanted to work there was because it wasn’t to far from my house and I have experience rolling burritos and helping customers from jobs I had years back before I became a apprentice. The first red flag I noticed was how dirty the kitchen is and underneath all appliances also how dirty the walls were in the kitchen .As a hard and dedicated worker I always tried to move the makeline and sweep and mop underneath it and wipe the walls giving 110% to correctly clean the kitchen..This always infuriated the managers working on the shift with me… telling me that it isn’t necessary and we will get that next week. First of all this is a kitchen all debris off the floor needs to be cleaned up after we close every night. I decided to quit after only a month of working there. Alex Pierson the GM of the store cussed at me one night. His reason was I was being rude to a customer. All I told the customer was “ sir please don’t reach over the glass we don’t want to contaminate the food.” It’s a health issue. We just got over Covid. I’m not going to allow someone to reach over the glass that was built in a way that there not supposed to. This was the first straw that broke the camels back with me. As the General manager of the store you need to conduct yourself appropriately and cussing at employees is definitely not that. I decided to let if go. One week later I was cleaning the kitchen pulling everything out and sweeping and yet again I get pestered by this time the assistant manager. Her name is Kat. Telling me don’t worry about that. First of all I don’t half ass my job so yes I’m going to worry about it.. it proceeded into a verbal argument between us because I tried to explain to her that we work in a kitchen it must be cleaned and scrubbed very good every night. She proceeded to disrespect me so I quit. If I can’t be the best worker I can be the especially in a kitchen than I’ll work somewhere else where they can keep the kitchen clean and follow procedures to ensure the general public doesn’t get sick also. The level of professionalism in this store is embarrassing and the vibe was off every night. It felt like to me the managers that were there always had a bad attitude. Also the health department should check this place out. I wish I could of worked for Qdoba longer but I won’t tolerate being disrespected and micro managed especially when I already know my job duties. This is a warning to all that want to work at 5095 Kipling street. I guess if you like to half ass and not clean very well it’s for you. But definitely not for me. When I clean a kitchen I actually do it...
Read moreMy husband, daughter, son In law and granddaughter went in for dinner on the 28th. The young girl at the first station was anything but courteous. 3 of the 5 of is asked for rice without cilantro (which we always have done) we were met with an abrupt NO! Not we can't do that not no we don't have that (which of course we know they do) but simply NO followed by a glare. I asked what do you mean No and she again firmly just responded NO! She then proceeded to give us each a half a scoop of rice. My granddaughter received less than that. He father took her order back up asked for more at which time given another small amount and had the bowl shoved back at him. There was no other customers there so being busy cannot be used as an excuse. This young lady has no business working with the public with her more than bad attitude. She at least needs additional training. As the owner operator of a fast food franchise she as my employee would be terminated. It's hard getting people that want to work but it's harder keeping a business open with poor...
Read moreOrdered chicken nachos and all I get on it each time is half and half beans, chicken, and shredded cheese. No salsa, nothing else. When I got to the second section I asked for “lots of cheese”. Then the register lady tried to charge me $3.75 for a handful of shredded cheese! I have never been up-charged at a qdoba before for saying lots of cheese. I told her no I’m not paying that. She was extremely rude and disrespectful. She then remade my food and put the smallest amount of cheese I’ve ever seen on something. She charged the wrong card for the “extra cheese” or I probably would have just let it go. She then refunded the $3.75 tossing my money at me rudely. She was not a nice person. Horrible customer service. The guy that made my food the first time even told her no I didn’t order extra cheese I just said a lot of cheese. She had no regard for her coworker. Poor guy looked at me like sorry… Never going to this location again. That lady should not work in customer service with...
