Toast Asbury Park is an incredibly charming and delightful breakfast spot located just a few short blocks away from the picturesque beach, making it a perfect destination for a leisurely morning meal. With its warm and welcoming atmosphere, the restaurant instantly makes you feel at home, offering a cozy setting where you can enjoy your breakfast favorites in a relaxed environment.
During my visit, I decided to try the Classic Eggs Benedict, which turned out to be an absolute delight. The dish was presented beautifully, with two perfectly poached eggs perched atop a thick slice of Canadian bacon, all nestled on a warm, toasted English muffin. The rich, velvety hollandaise sauce drizzled over the dish added a luxurious touch that truly elevated the entire experience. The eggs were cooked to perfection, with the yolks spilling out in a golden cascade as I cut into them, mingling with the hollandaise sauce and creating a delectable fusion of flavors.
The side of crispy home fries that accompanied the dish were seasoned to perfection and provided a wonderful contrast to the softness of the eggs and the creaminess of the hollandaise sauce. The portion size was generous, leaving me feeling full and satisfied but not overly stuffed.
In addition to the delicious food, the service at Toast Asbury Park was impeccable. The waitstaff were attentive and friendly, ensuring that my coffee cup was always full and that I had everything I needed to enjoy my meal. The restaurant's atmosphere was both inviting and lively, with a diverse clientele ranging from families with young children to couples enjoying a romantic brunch.
Overall, Toast Asbury Park is a must-visit destination for anyone in search of a memorable breakfast experience. With its close proximity to the beach, charming atmosphere, and delicious menu offerings, it's the perfect spot to start your day or to unwind after a morning spent enjoying the sun and surf. I highly recommend the Classic Eggs Benedict for a taste of culinary excellence, but with such an extensive menu, there are plenty of other delicious options to choose...
Read moreThe service here sucks. As a local I’m disgusted. Don’t waste your time here. If your looking for a quick breakfast youre better off going to Franks on main and the other breakfast place on Sunset. I called three times to put a to go order in and no one answered. It’s a Friday so I thought okay they’re probably extremely busy and can’t even answer the phone. I go in and they are not busy at all. The hostess (dark long hair/ whoever was hosting on 8/2 at around 9:30AM) was standing around in a daze and was singing to the music. She waved and said hi to me, didn’t ask if I wanted to be seated and went back to humming. She looked extremely high or drugged. I thought it was a joke. Then I go to the breakfast counter to put my order in and the servers are standing around doing nothing. The server at the counter did take my order but when I told her it was to go she just seemed to be annoyed. She was extremely monotone and didn’t even try to be enthusiastic. She was enthusiastic taking to her fellow co workers. Another weird thing happened. My server was preparing some kind of hot beverage and the hostess asked if she could hold I guess the warm milk and started cuddling with it. So strange. While all this is going on why couldn’t someone answer the phone and take my to go order? While I’m on this rant all I ordered was a feta, spinach cheese omelette with whole wheat toast only. I did not want anything else with it just those two food items and they had the audacity to give me one slice of toast that was cut in half. For $11.41 plus $2.00 tip plus the 45 mins that I’ll never get back in my life this place is not worth it! Avoid it! Go to Cardinal, Franks, or Sunset Cafe!! And I’m saying this as someone who lives and...
Read moreWe had a late breakfast this morning at the Toast on Cookman . The place was fairly empty, but my sister and I were given a small booth in the rear near the bathrooms and a drafty door. Why are women so often directed to the worst tables no matter what? My eggs, toast and home fries came to the table cold and I sent them back, something I never do. My sister's omelette was not cold and very tasty. Coffee was good. We both noticed that our coffee cups and silverware were stained. While we were eating, I saw a mouse run past the drafty door and behind an amusement/arcade game. I informed a waiter who said he reported it to the manager. The curtains hanging on the window adjacent to us were filthy and stained as well. Overall the place was funky/dirty. The waitress never came to retrieve the check and my credit card, so we had to find her to pay the bill. I have NEVER written a bad review for a restaurant in my life. Today was a big disappointment. We decided to have breakfast at Toast because I frequent the Toast in Montclair where I live. I have no complaints about the Montclair Toast, and overall the food is good. The Asbury Toast leaves much to be desired. You need to close up, do a deep clean of everything, scrub your coffee cup to get rid of the stains, and get rid of the mice before the Board of...
