Day Trip In New Jersey Series… Explore the allure of Ocean Grove, New Jersey, a beach town like no other. Marvel at the scenic shoreline, stroll amidst Victorian houses frozen in time, and indulge in boutique shopping. Ocean Grove boasts a newly opened pier for mesmerizing ocean vistas. Don’t miss ‘Tent City,’ where 114 canvas tents offer a unique summer experience, and be sure to visit the historic Great Auditorium, a testament to the town’s rich history since 1894. Ocean Grove, where nostalgia meets coastal beauty. #newjersey #njspots #oceangrove #oceangrovenj #njspotstravel #newjerseylife #newjerseyisbeautiful #njspotstravels

Wonderful hall with lots of history, surrounded Ocean Grove's unique tents. The Auditorium appears prominently in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories" from 1980. Seven US presidents spoke here, including Presidents Grant, Teddy Roosevelt, and Nixon. Enrico Caruso performed here in 1910. Great summer worship series with prominent guest speakers and great concerts and organ recitals throughout the summer. The march of the ushers during worship always brings me to tears. The architecture of the Auditorium reminds me of Richard Wagner's Festspielhaus in Bayreuth. The Messiah Spectacular on August 2, 2025 was spectacular indeed. I loved it!

Stunning historic structure with phenomenal acoustics. The world famous Hope-Jones organ is an impressive marvel. There is plenty of seating, though for some events, advance ticket purchases are recommended. There are many free events with optional free will offering. The Choir Festival was awe-inspiring and uplifting. The building is cooled by cross ocean breezes; no air conditioning. Plenty of restrooms in an adjacent facility. The Great Auditorium is a must-see stop for any visitor to the Jersey Shore.

My wife and I went there a few years ago for a Peter, Paul and Mary Concert. It ended up being their last one before Mary passed away. All I can say is WOW! As far as hearing the performer goes, there is no such thing as a bad seat. They designed it perfectly for sound. They have a beautiful, old organ that is well maintained. There is no air-conditioning, so if it is a hot night, you are better off sitting up stairs. They have many large windows that open up and out. They do a great job on upkeep, for the auditorium. The only problem is parking. They do not have a parking lot. You have to park on the...

Watched The Beach Boys in concert. They gave a good performance singing songs that made them famous The auditorium was spacious and even the not so expensive seats were not too far away from the stage. Ticket prices are controlled by the administration. I gave only 4 stars because it was so hard to find parking, which was only street parking. I had to go around for about 15 minutes to look for a spot, and luckily I found one that wasn't too afr away from the auditorium. I have to say, though, that the ushers were...
