Decent food, great waiter service, terrible food waiting time though.
Food quality is not the best, it is a mix of Indian/Chinese food. They do a decent job with the sauces; however most are too sweet or too much. It misses the point of balancing sauce quality and sauce quantity with meat portion. Although some times it hits the mark. Soups seem very artificial, almost like something out of a can...hmm
Waitress serving us was pretty much on point, and friendly. Got our drinks quick.
They serve a 'kimchi' style pickled veggies, which I actually really enjoy! It is absolutely not Kimchi, however it has a nice sweet pickled flavor.
Break down in terms of stars:
Food - eh, okay, can find better a few miles east in FFX (try Masala Wok), decent portions though, always full after visiting here
Service - Good
Atmosphere - quiet, mostly families, lots of take outs
Location - off waxpool in Ashburn, not a good location for those living East
Family Friendly - yeah nice quiet spot, safe, clean
Come back again? - Maybe, I've been here a few times after work when I was hungry and didn't have food at home. I would order to go, and take the food home to munch on. Now that I am not living in Ashburn anymore, I don't see a...
Read moreHorrible, purchased five orders of Vege Hakka noodles, picked up my order at 1:30 pm. Immediately, after driving off I smelled something sour in the car but did not take it for anything. Got home after 15 mins and put in the refrigerator. Around 6pm, I took it out of the refrigerator and upon opening the bags and containers, the smell was really bad, so I decided to taste, it was totally spoiled. I called the restaurant and the manager was so rude and angry. He insisted that he told me not to reheat the fool. No matter how much I tried to explain that I did not reheat the food, he did not want to listen and began to lay blame on me for picking up food at 1:30 pm. I also purchased an order of fried rice, which literally took a minute to cook. I ate it and it also tasted bad and I had diarrhea . I assumed that they reheat food from previous day/days. They did not refund me any money or food. Very sad, does...
Read moreWe have ordered umpteen times from here so about time to post a review. This is a nice no-frills indo-chinese place offering value for your $. In appetizers, we love the Chinese Bhel (Mumbai street food item) and Drums of Heaven (both - chicken drumstick and boneless are good). Manchow soup is excellent and so is the sweet corn chicken. We almost always get the Asian Fusion special which is a unique but tasty dish. Its chicken with chinese sauces and lots of veggies BUT has basil too.. odd and unique, but we like it a lot. Have tried the usual - Kung Pao, Tso, chilly chicken etc and have been good. Noodles are good, lot in quantity. The only one that i was strictly ok with was the Singapore noodles. They could have been better. Dont recollect about fried rice so should be ok. PRO TIP: order online! After $35, an appetizer is free. After $50, a fried...
