This was my first time coming here and I have been looking for a good pho joint in Ashburn. Right away I was impressed with the ambience and the decor, everything looks clean and well taken care of, and I was brought a glass if ice water with a slice of lime in it before I even ordered, which I greatly appreciate. I ordered my usual at any place, which is a large bowl w/thin steak (a #1 here), less noodle, rare meat on the side, jumbo onion in vinegar, and an iced coffee with a to-go cup. The gentleman who took my order understood everything I asked for (which is semi-rare at a lot of places) and it was exactly right when it was brought to the table (it did take longer than I'm used to). Everything was very fresh and the quality of the meat was top notch, sliced supremely thin. The noodles were average, but I don't expect anything special out of the noodles, if they are ever above average then that's just a bonus. The only two things I can speak negatively of are unfortunately two of the three most important to me, the one that was great was the meat, but the broth was somewhat bland until I added the steak and garnish (plenty of basil, all the peppers, most of the onion, no sprouts). It was okay with everything in, it just wasn't terribly flavorful, and for me the broth is THE component of a good bowl of pho. Lastly the iced coffee was not French drip style and tasted like some other places I've been to where it just doesn't have the bold authentic taste I'm looking for, still it is flavorful and I will be finishing it. I was pleasantly surprised when I was brought my check while sitting here typing this at my table, he took it with my card and brought it back to me, I believe this is the very first time that has ever happened to me at a pho restaurant I'm Virginia. All in all, I like The Pho and I will come again, as well as recommend it to people if they ask, but I would love to see some tweaking of the broth recipe to make it more flavorful, and to start making French drip...

My conclusion is that the girl who runs the restaurant is mentally unstable . Be aware of the manager she is a young girl, heavy weight she can be violent and out of control. , I tried to contact the owner unfortunately he does not understand or speak English, his manager taking advantage of his situation and does as she wishes ,although she is from his countery, I wish she can get help with her...
Read moreUnprofessional experience. The restaurant’s hours stated they opened at 10:00 AM, so I arrived at 10:15 AM, hoping to grab a bowl of pho before heading to a movie. I decided to wait when I saw the doors were still closed, thinking it might just be a minor delay. However, the restaurant didn’t open until 11:00 AM when the owner finally arrived.
We were seated by 11:05 AM, but water was only served after we specifically asked for it. Despite knowing we had been waiting outside for 45 minutes, the owner casually mentioned that they had decided to open late, with no acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused. I wasn’t expecting a grand apology—just a simple acknowledgment or a “thank you for waiting” would have gone a long way.
When it came time to pay, we were directed to the counter and told the total, but no itemized check was provided. It was unclear if a tip was included since the owner never asked for one. The lack of transparency left me questioning their practices.
I love supporting local businesses, but it’s hard to back a place that doesn’t value its customers or provide clarity in how they operate. For now, I don’t plan...
