Gosh, we love this place! This is by far the biggest Asian market in Asheville. If they don’t have it here, you don’t need it! They have all of my favorites, the dried Chinese mushrooms, the big bags of rice, the healthy boy soy sauce, great vegetable selection, with bok choy and the spicy Thai peppers and Kafir lime leaves. Every once in a while, they run out of ube ice cream, but it is restocked pretty quickly. I almost don’t want to share this next part with the public, but on the weekends they have Bánh Mi sandwiches! And everyone there is so nice and helpful. I even call them sometimes and ask them to reserve Bánh Mi for me. All the employees are super pleasant and helpful! Oh, amazing selection of frozen dumplings as well! And great seafood!

My last review was five years ago when it was a decent place,it has really gone down hill since then.Nothing is cooked fresh on the grill any longer and the food on the buffet is not worth the $16.00 dollars (with drink)that they charge,(half of it was cold by the way)The person waiting on us tried to hurry us along by taking our plates without asking if we were even done with them and when paying we noticed the HEALTH DEPARTMENT SCORE of 90.5,that is not good.Take your money and go somewhere else, you have been warned. The photos are for five years ago when it was good,Maybe the owners can look at them and remember what a decent restaurant looks like.

Very disappointed this visit. We have eaten here back in 2018 and it was always good and one of our favorite places to eat while in Asheville. Today, we came for the dinner buffet and arrived at 7:50pm. We purchased 2 adult buffets and they were $15.95 each plus 2 drinks of $2.50 each. The buffet was nearly empty of food and what was remaining tasted old. We waited 20 minutes to check the food again and nothing was added to the buffet. So we paid $39.48 for our meal for 2 and had to try and make a meal off what we could. Very disappointed! I would recommend checking the buffet before sitting down and ordering.

I would like to recommend Asians Grand Buffet, BUT after the service I received on my birthday weekend, I would not recommend it to anyone. They claim to offer a lunch buffet on a person’s birthday, with valid ID. We had planned to make the trip in my actual birthday (Friday), but as I had to work until 5pm and we saw their offer was only valid for lunch, we would have to celebrate on Saturday or Sunday. My husband and I postponed for 2 days, and came to lunch on Sunday to celebrate my birthday — we even specifically asked the server if it was still under lunch rates, as we were here for the birthday deal, to which we confirmed. We finished our lunch and saw that there was an additional charge for weekend rates, which had not been advertised. $2 here and there for a busier day, is not the end of the world, even when not advertised, but the real straw on the camel’s back, is when we went to check out. The woman behind the counter was dealing rudely with both the elderly woman in front of us, and the poor fellow employees, at the on the restaurant. Embarrassing, sure, but then we it becomes our turn to pay, and I place my photo ID, said-required for the birthday deal, she yelled at us and treated us like we were trying to scam them. After having to put off my birthday celebration for 2 days, to be treated like that, I would not only not recommend this place to anyone, I would also suggest they remove the woman behind the counter, before they lose any more paying guests and hard working employees. The treatment I experienced on my birthday weekend, is unacceptable for a public restaurant, and to have us watch the woman run around yelling at employees and guests (especially elderly ones) is completely unprofessional. The food was okay, but due to the service I have received, I feel like I have been fleeced, and would not recommend it to anyone.

You offer a lunch buffet for birthdays, but don’t honor it if someone’s birthday fell during the workweek and they arrived that weekend. Then you treat them like con artist for trying to use your deal? What sort business...

Asiana used to be ok. Sometimes it was good, but other times not so good. We went there a few weeks before they announced they were closing for good. The food was actually pretty good on that visit and much better than Shogun. We heard they were closing and wanted to go before they were gone. That was a mistake! The food was horrible as was the service and atmosphere. They were out of a lot of things and what they did have was just not good. The only thing that was pretty good was the egg drop soup. That's it. The place was extremely crowded. I assume this was because they are closing soon since the time we went when things were good the place was pretty empty. Anyway, the food tasted like they were trying to get rid of the leftovers before becoming an Asian supermarket. It was the owner's decision to become an Asian supermarket. I really do not think that will go over in Asheville due to the size of the building. If the buffet restaurant wasn't closing, I would most definitely not go back. It was a bad experience. I will also not be going to the Asian supermarket. They also need to pay back the over a million dollars of the pandemic money so that it can be given to deserving restaurants that are struggling to stay...

Have to leave 1 star as it will not allow ZERO which is what Asiana deserves. Visited with family on Christmas eve and had the ABSOLUTELY worst experience ever at a Chinese Buffet! Had called before going to insure that they were open as we drive 30 minutes to get there. I was told that the grill would continue cooking until 7:30 pm with the restaurant closing at 8:00. When we got there at 6:30 the buffet line was sparsely filled to be kind. IT GOT WORSE AS THE NEXT HOUR PASSED. We kept going back to the line and looking - only to see the same empty pans and crusting totally un-appetizing looking foods. Tried the salad bar, but after seeing a roach wandering across one of the pans I quickly said "no thanks!" The dessert section was wiped out too with the grossest looking ice cream dispenser tray I have seen in a very long time anywhere. How can a restaurant such as this be ok with telling customers something only to have an EXTREMELY limited selection of OLD cooked food and basically NO entre choices at all AND YET STILL CHARGE DINERS FULL PRICE????? I have been a customer here for the past 4 years but NEVER AGAIN!! Do yourself a favor and DRIVE PAST ASIANA BUFFET..you will...
