Y’all can do better! I waited for five minutes at the counter just to order an iced tea while six people were behind the counter and three of them were just talking. In the person’s defense, when she finally did see me (even though I had been trying to get her attention), she said, ā€œoh gosh.ā€ When I ordered the tea, I said, ā€œplease very little iceā€ and she just filled it in the brim with ice, so when she started pouring the tea, I was trying to loudly get her attention again saying, ā€œma’am, ma’am, helloā€ and finally somebody else who was working there got her attention, and I reminded her that I wanted just a few cubes of ice and she said, ā€œwell, I didn’t hear that.ā€ And seemed upset with…me. This is a four dollar iced tea. See the photo. I don’t want it just completely full of ice.

Some time ago (and it’s probably been years) there was a manager there named Tammy, and she was amazing. Bustling around behind the counter and everybody was smiling and happy, and she was fun and even remembered our orders. These people seemed like they were bored/stressed at the same time. And again, this iced tea is...

Tried it post-covid. The inside is sparse. The girl who helped me was wonderful. The bagel was unremarkable. The cream cheese is awful.

If you like this style of bagel, skip this review. It's not for you.

It blows my mind this place can sell two distinctly different kinds of bagels. One that's closer to the traditional boiled bagel with the tight, bubbly crust (the raisin) - you're on the right track! and a glorified sandwich roll with a hole in the middle (the cheese). I'm attaching pics for reference.

Now, the flavor of the cinnamon raisin was awesome. Plenty of cinnamon and plump raisins. So stars for that. If they had garlic I would have gotten that.

The cream cheese was wrong. For me, Philadelphia is the baseline for cream cheese, this stuff was likely a cream cheese "spread". It liquified inside the toasted bagel, above and beyond normal melting, and got everywhere.

In the words of David Rose, this bagel is incorrect.

Bonus: none of the workers were masked, despite everyone in line being masked, and the bulk of the early crowd...

I order a large amount of bagels (3-4 dozen) each month from the location off Merrimon and normally have a great experience until today when I placed a to go order. The girl I was speaking to on the phone had me on hold giggling and laughing for 8 minutes, didn’t even know how to place a to go order, could barely calculate simple math (2x4) and then hung up on me after she asked me to leave a tip as I declined due to repeating myself several times during my order. I understand it’s just bagels but I would hope people who were hired would have more common sense than to be dumb, ask for a tip and then hang up after they didn’t even give me the total amount due. I had to call back to even make sure that I would get my receipt. When I did call back, the same girl didn’t even address the company; she just simply picked up and said ā€œhello?ā€. I absolutely will be getting bagels elsewhere from now on, preferably a place that understands customer service and doesn’t just...

Best New York style bagels I’ve had in a long long time.. Was visiting Asheville for 2 days and we ended up having our breakfast here both the days. The bagels are so soft and delicious & when coupled with the spreads and veggies.. Several choices of spreads offered; tried the onion and chive, herbs and garlic and the jalapeƱo… All were amazing.. Will definitely be here again when visiting Asheville the next time… 😊

I only had a pickup order and it was close to when they were closing. The staff was a little short but not rude by any means, and again since it was close to closing I can understand that. I tried a Smokehouse Brisket sandwich with two eggs and it was awesome!!! So filling, moist, and crispy at the same time. Especially for the price I got it at, I will definitely be coming by for brunch again!
