Elevated Kava Lounge — Restaurant in Asheville

Super cozy place, nestled in West AVL. Walking around is a breeze, plenty of food places to check close by & a gas station/ bank across the street. This place boasts an amazing staff, great parking/ hours & offers a variety of different types of drinks…plus this is one of their two locations, with the other being located in downtown AVL. I’m partial to this location, however, as West AVL offers a slower more casual pace. Plus, I am an introverted, creature of habit, who tends to lean more towards places with less hustle & bustle. Overall this location exudes just that, via its warm & always so welcoming, attentive staff. I do have a favorite, of the bartenders, Jadon, who typically works the night shift on Thursday/Sunday. Considering you are all but guaranteed a wonderful experience when he’s working; he is always kind to newcomers, thoughtful in how he greets both his new & seasoned patrons, super knowledgeable on the menu & more simply put, he is great at his job. Additionally, to all aforementioned, this lounge hosts a variety of events ranging from clothing swaps, local bands, open mics & the like, but if your not looking for entertainment…know that this lounge is also great for relaxing with a good book, doing school work, studying with classmates, or meeting up with a group of friends to make art, catch up & play board games. I am a supporter & lover of all that the local art scene in AVL has to offer, and this place shares these values, given it offers space for local artist’s to showcase/ sell their creations (varying from paintings/ prints/jewelry etc.) Parking is pretty easy, there’s a lot located behind this building, the side street that takes you to the behind lot also offers street parking & if you’re lucky and perhaps a rockstar you just might be able to score some parking (albeit parallel 😂) right in front of the building/ entrance. If you have any questions about parking, events etc you could follow this business on socials or if you’re like me (without socials) you’re welcome to call the number provided here on google, given the staff are always willing to help & very polite. Outside food is permitted here, & this place appears to be both kid & dog/ pet friendly. Lastly, because I could rave & ramble endlessly, this lounge offers a loyalty card program via stamps for purchases that add up to free drinks. Definitely check this...

I love Elevated Kava Lounge! The atmosphere is amazing and they have a wide variety of mocktails, canned beverages, kombucha on tap, and other drinks along with the traditional brew Kava and Kratom that many know and love! They hold regular events like Open Mic and Self Care Saturday. The regulars, owners, and kava-tenders are welcoming, kind, and fun. The bar has a light atmosphere where nothing takes itself too seriously and everyone is just looking for a good time or a place to sit back and relax. Take a seat at the bar, grab a booth, or sink into one of the many sofas and take in the local art along the walls from some amazing local and regional artist. I find myself here often using the free WiFi to catch up on my work while I sip on their Potentiated Kava. It's also a great place for me to meet with clients and still be able to have sensitive conversations. I'm very grateful for Elevated Kava's convenient location in West Asheville and look forward to seeing their new spot...

The place is usually empty, The staff kicked us out for asking how long a tea would take to brew. They started yelling about not asking. Asked if they was something we did and got kicked out. Maybe a bad day?

As a reply: I’ve never been treated like I was there in my entire life, let alone asked to leave an establishment for a curious question. Based on the reply below, the bartender made things up. I didn’t get loud at all. I politely asked how much longer a tea would take and the bartender replied unprofessionally which was upsetting. No one was uncomfortable until he decided to kick me out when I told him there was no need for a that sort of behavior, I was just curious.
