Read moreLet me start out by saying that if you do not have any food allergies then you are good to go. Both of my friends who I came here with had meals that they really enjoyed and that looked delicious. I myself am normally a big fan of First Watch, although this was my first time coming to this location, since it just opened and before that I had only been to the one at Biltmore Village. With that said-- I have celiac disease, and we made sure to inform our server before we ordered. However, I was still served a dish that turned out to contain gluten, and wound up becoming really sick (which is what indicated that I had been served gluten). I am not sure if I was served someone else's order of the same dish but not made gluten free or if the server did not know that the dish could not be made gluten free and the kitchen didn't tell her, as she said she rang in the ticket as gluten free. Either way, there is a clear lack of training or communication or something regarding food allergies that allowed this to happen. It's a genuine shame, because I would have been excited to have a new, less crowded location to go to, but I don't think I will be taking the risk...
Read moreWe decided to try this place with some friends. In total of 8 people we were with us 4 of which were children 6 and under. The place was great, the food was wonderful, but the service was not. Maybe its just me, but if I'm paying to be served thats kinda what I except with in reason. The waitress however every time she brought us food or drinks she handed everything to me to pass to everyone. For one there was plenty of room for her to go around our table. For two it is rediculous to expect little kids to be able to pass down drinks and heavy plates without spilling them. I was so frustrated because I felt like every time i turned around she was standing beside me telling me to hand something to someone else. I don't usually complain about resturants because i know it can be busy, but hospitality is an industry I have worked in for years and this just was not a good experience. 1 or 2 things absolutely. I happy to help with the little extras (which there werent any). But entire meals and all the drinks nope. I will never bring my...
