The store and it's products are lovely. None of the staff here are particularly friendly or welcoming. We stopped by for hot chocolate on 12/5 - it was a chilly day and Santa was at the outlets - perfect day for it right? The hot chocolate itself was very nice - not overly hot and tasty! However, what surprised me the most about this store is the employees who stood idly by when a man in line in front of us decided to start shouting, with obscenities included about everyone not wearing masks. I'd say maybe 50% of the mall was, 50% wasn't - I don't really care what anyone's personal stance is on wearing them is but I do expect the employees of an establishment to ask patrons to control themselves or leave if they cannot in such an environment. My 8 year old was standing with me and notated the poor behavior of the man, but not a single Lindt employee batted an eye. For the amount of money you will potentially be spending in an upper-end candy store - this environment should not be tolerated and if staff aren't comfortable asking someone to behave appropriately, there is mall...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGood assortment, but I'm 100% sure that either their scales are inaccurate, or they're charging more than double the listed prices for the pay per pound chocolate on some things. For example, some of the chocolate I purchased was listed as a little less than $20/lb (not the truffles, the other bulk chocolates next to those). They charged me $4 for 4 pieces of candy, which didn't make sense at the time. I asked for the receipt and was only given a credit card receipt, which is useless for a customer to try and make sure they were charged correctly for their purchase. I got home and used my reliable kitchen scale and those same 4 pieces of candy in the same bag from the store is only 1.5 oz, which means the cost would be around $1.88, not $4. Another approximately 6 truffles cost me $6 and the math wasn't mathin' on that either when I weighed it at home. I'd avoid this unless you're really wanting to try the handful of flavors you can't easily find elsewhere. Absolutely skip the chocolate bars, you'll pay 2-3x the cost of what you can get them at any...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to the shop here in Asheville Outlets. I just needed something sweet that will not fill me up as I was about to eat dinner. When I came in, I couldnāt remember if I was greeted or not. I was the only customer. I picked two pieces of chocolate. Then two caucasian women came in with their children. The server greeted them and gave them samples of chocolate. While the other customers were shopping, I went to pay. I told the server, Oh, you're giving away samples. She explained that she had to draw who get to sample. But then she said I could have a sample if I wanted. I got confused because I thought she just told me they had to draw but now she was offering that I could get it even if I wasnāt drawn, and thatās after I mentioned it to her. I said thank you but Iām good. Iām Asian by the way and the serverās name on the receipt is Amanda T. For me, itās not about the chocolates, itās more about equality. Their chocolates are indeed great for a commercial one but my experience was not...
