LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING - Cautious Consideration Advised: Unfavorable Dining Experience
It is with a heavy heart that I feel compelled to share my recent encounter at this particular restaurant. While the dining room may exude an ambiance of sophistication and elegance, it regrettably fails to uphold the standards of quality and cleanliness that one would expect from a reputable establishment.
Firstly, it is disconcerting to note that the restaurant received a sanitation score of 95, which is deemed unacceptable for a dining establishment. This rating raises concerns about the adherence to proper food handling and cleanliness protocols, potentially compromising the well-being of patrons.
During our visit, my companions and I ordered two burgers accompanied by fries. To our dismay, the quality of the food was remarkably poor, both in terms of preparation and hygiene. Tragically, the aftermath of our meal resulted in an unfortunate bout of food poisoning that lasted for an agonizing five hours into the night. The physical discomfort endured during this time left us unable to find respite in sleep.
It is disheartening to report that when we reached out to the management, comprised of individuals named Lori, Amy, and Kacy, their response regarding a possible refund was disappointing. They explicitly stated that no reimbursement would be provided, displaying a lack of empathy and understanding toward the distressing situation we experienced.
Considering the circumstances, I strongly advise against dining at this establishment. The combination of low food quality, unsatisfactory cleanliness standards, and the unwillingness of the management to address customer concerns leaves much to be desired. I encourage you to explore alternative dining options that prioritize customer satisfaction, hygiene, and culinary excellence.
Please exercise caution and make an informed decision when selecting a dining venue that aligns with your expectations and prioritizes...
Read moreGreat little place tucked into the crowne plaza. A small but impressive menu of local fish, steaks, and pasta dishes prepared by the hotel chef.
The beer and wine selections include local brews, sparkling and a decent mix of wines.
The menus have led lighting and just look damn cool.
Then the wait staff , we feel so catered to, a nice touch , every aspect of the meal was presented like honored guests, casual but tasteful.
We went for the buffalo steak with blue cheese, medium rare with stewed black eyed peas with tomato and onion, and brussel sprouts with bacon, onion and raisins.
A treat for me, I don't get much buffalo so was looking forward to it, and it didn't disappoint.
I washed this down with a highland Gaelic ale and dessert choices came thereafter. Wifey was stuffed at this point.
I closed it off with a choice of key lime pie, pecan, cheesecake, or ultimate chocolate with a chocolate chip cookie on top, well I went for cheesecake. :)
Good stuff all around, and not bad price considering the ambiance and what you would normally expect for a meal such as this.
They also do standard hotel breakfast buffet $12 with waffles and such, and there's a full bar a short walk from here with decent prices, also in the hotel, save that for...
Read moreDined here for the first time, arrived for brunch. The food was fair, but nothing exceptional, and the prices were reasonable. Entering the hotel lobby, it was beautiful, clean and very elegant, and the restaurant looked relatively nice to sit down. First impression was the meal would be elevated to match the surroundings. The waiter was nice, but slow to refill our drinks when they were empty, even with only 4 other diners. The buffet was clean and the food looked appetizing, but it was bland and basic. The coffee was bitter and tasted old. It could not be disguised, no matter how much sugar and cream I added. The yogurt parfait bar was the best part of the dining experience. Overall, not the greatest restaurant food, but not the worst. I would dine there again, but next time I'll just know...
