Our family had fun on the course, but cannot rate this 5 stars due to long prep time (almost 40 minutes) that ate into our 2 hour limit on the course, and safety concerns with the platforms and attachment points on course. Our family of 2 adults, 2 teens are not new to tree ropes courses, and have done some very advanced courses in other states. This was the only course we have ever done where we felt unsafe (not of death, but of injury). The 6 levels of courses are built in very close proximity to each other. This results in the cable that you are hooked to being about waist-level on most of the elements. This means if you were to fall, you would drop several feet before the safety harness caught you. There were several spots where I was keenly aware of the trees, timber, wires, and obstacles my head and body would hit if I slipped. No wonder this is the first tree course we have done that required helmets! Strangely, this is also the first course that did not have gloves available. Being on vacation, we did not bring our own, but assumed they would have them some fingerless gloves available for purchase. We did the Red and Black courses, and my hands were red and raw by the end. We also encountered many unsteady platforms on the Red and Black courses, built with only 2 points of contact instead of 3. These platforms had started to slope downward with age and use, with little room for 2 people (the max allowed). As I sat down on one platform to enter the next obstacle, it was so chewed up that a sharp piece of wood poked me right through my jeans. My final complaint was the strict 2-hour time limit. Perhaps it was because of the busy time of year, but the orientation and harnessing process took close to 40 minutes. We were not given any additional time on the course to compensate, so we only had time to do 2 courses, and my daughter was pulled halfway from the black one RIGHT at the end of the 2-hours (the training video and online information only say that they have the right to pull you from the course if you greatly exceed the time limit). I understand that she was at a convenient stopping point to exit the course, and probably would have taken too long to finish, but it was still disappointing she wasn't given the option. It was a lot of money for just a little over an hour of climbing. On the positive side, this was a very creative course, with lots of elements we had never seen or experienced. The ziplines were fun with various objects to sit or balance on. And the Black course was very challenging, as promised. It was an amazing core workout! I would have loved more time to do some of the other courses, but with the price, possibility of long wait until you can climb, and strict time limits, the whole family voted...

Read morePS: Just adding more information for the owner: The day before when we came I asked if I need to make a reservation, and I was told that they have available slots, so I do not need a reservation. No one told me that they recommend making reservation. I also want to add that the woman on the front desk with whom we talked constantly made a displeased face and asked every word again, as if she did not understand me at all. English is not my native language, but I speak slowly and clearly. I got the impression that foreigners were uninvited guests there, at least for this woman. I do not understand why the owner is so aggressive about constructive feedback. Just tell people that you are recommending to make reservation, and no problem. We have just 3 days in Asheville and we can not come to one place every day, we have limited time. And yes, people that doing this way are strange. It is not disrespectful. Disrespectful is the owner's answer knowing that they made a mistake and not able to accept it and just apologize. And I really surprised by aggressive owner's answers to me and my husband. We were told the day before coming that reservation is not necessary because they still have available slots. But when we came the next day they just told us that we needed to have a reservation. We came from out of state for vacation and our experience in Asheville is not really good. This place just added more negatives. Strange people are working here. Be careful with their...
