We took our nieces (7 & 9) here when they were visiting from LA; we loved it so much we bought annual passes. I was badly out of shape & i felt like it's be a great gym alternative for me. I normally don't like gyms or working out (I'm the kind of person who only runs if someone's chasing me). Climbing 2-3x a week has changed my life! I feel stronger, I don't feel out of breath so easily, I love it! So grateful to have found this place. The rangers are amazing- friendly, knowledgeable, kind & supportive. Every single one of them is above & beyond awesome. Val is my spirit animal. If she started a cult I would join it. Jordan, Monica, Noah, Caleb, Wes, are all the very greatest; & the front office ppl who are so patient w us when we arrive late. These are the best, most genuine bunch of ppl in every way. Seeing them twice a week is one of the bright spots in my week. I had to overcome a fear of heights; I slipped & lost my footing on an obstacle; It scared me so much that I had to get lowered down. It took months for me to get past that fear but when i finally tackled that course again they were genuinely happy & proud. They really root for your success. For me, just knowing they're on the ground keeping an eye on me gives me courage. I should add that they're amazing w kids- I've only brought kids the one time but the rangers were wonderful w them; my nieces still talk about it often; they can't wait to go back... And they live in LA so they're pretty...
Read moreWe brought our BSA Cub Scout pack from Miami FL. All of the staff was great and patient with kids ranging in maturity and supervisory needs. Caleb at the challenge course was phenomenal with patience, energy, and clarity of the rules. The kids also liked that he shared he is an Eagle Scout. Really the whole challenge course and kid zip team did an amazing job and we appreciated everything.
We had kids pre-K to 6th grade in a group of 8 families.
A few of us did the skyline with Grant and Natalie and though we put them to work and made them run late for the next group (thank you again!) we had a great and safe time. My son especially liked Grants quips like slow motion safety briefing recap, offering the Youth Energy Encouragement Technique (YEET for short), and sloth mode for self assists. Natalie was a champ for having to Ranger rescue the kids who didn’t make it to the platform… several times.
Lastly, I asked for a bag for the ride home (motion sickness and mountain driving - yikes) and the friendly admin team members helped us quickly and without hesitation even giving us a reusable bag with some trash bags just in case.
Kudos to a great operation, super fun experience, and wonderful team. We came to Asheville from our cabin in Gatlinburg just for you guys and were happy...
Read moreOur family came to the Asheville area from Virginia for a long weekend in an effort to change up our scenery and give our kids something to look forward to because we had been under our stay-at-home order since mid-March. We decided to do the ziplining tour at Asheville Adventure Center because it gave us a chance to do something as a family outside and it was an activity the kids were really excited about. The folks at Asheville Adventure Center were amazing. Very friendly, with a great customer service attitude. We had our safety training with Jeff, whom I think is the owner, and our ziplining guides were Brandon and Donovan. They were terrific. Very low stress, but also very focused on safety and procedure. We had a very nice time talking with them over the two hours and we can't say enough about how much they added to our enjoyment of the experience. During the ziplining, we all had to wear facemasks because it was not possible to always stay six feet apart during time on the tree platforms but it was not too much of a bother and it actually ended up keeping my face warm because it was cool and breezy up in the trees. We highly recommend this company and will come back to do another activity with them the next time we come...
