Please make your food better! Asheville is truly lacking good international cuisine! I have to go to other cities to have great food experiences! You are on the verge of making this great! This is a prime location for asheville to have some good Vietnamese food which we’ve never had on this side of town. Please add more Thai basil, mint and cilantro to your garnishes for pho, salads and summer rolls. The quantity of garnishes are too skimpy and you charge too much to not include this. The dishes aren’t quite the same without it. We ordered pho takeout and you gave us 3 leaves of Thai basil for two orders! We will love coming to you every week if you can add more. And working on your pho broth a bit would be amazing. Also I ordered takeout another time with your Bún, and there was no sauce or vinaigrette with fish sauce . There wasn’t even chili or hoisin to go. So without the sauces the flavor is too plain. Also all your sauces are watered down you can taste the water added ! I know it’s tough when you first open your restaurant to have everything down. Please take this as helpful suggestion than Criticism ! We want people to love your restaurant and for you to thrive here in asheville. This cuisine is much...
Read moreWe ate there a few weeks ago with high expectations. First mistake. I had the traditional salad with tasteless spongy tofu, an unimpressive dressing and sparse veggies. No mint, basil or bean sprouts. So, we thought we would give it another chance. I wanted some Pho since I was sick with the flu. My husband picked up a tofu pho and a beef brisket pho. Both had a beef broth that so salty, it was hard to eat. The tofu was tasteless and again had a texture of rubber. The broth was super spicy. There were no veggies in the beef bowl and carrots and broccoli in the tofu bowl. The 'brisket' was fatty and tasted like barnyard beef. It was hard to consume. Normally, in the past when I've ordered pho, it had a generous amount of bean sprouts, fresh mint, basil and lime. That was missing except a piece of dry lime. We now have low expectations and will never go back. I think they think that all Americans can be fooled by poor quality but a lot of us have experienced amazing Vietnamese food in other cities and countries and they don't hold a candle...
Read moreI've had pho all over the US. Asheville needs a good pho restaurant. I want to love this place.... And the food is very tasty, so no complaints there.
But there are several things wrong. You have to order your food yourself at a screen on the wall when you walk in. I do NOT want to do that. It's tedious, slow, and causes backups. Hilariously, when you're done it asks you to add a tip!!!! Oh, and if you want to pay cash to avoid the 3% surcharge for cards, you have to completely redo your order at a different terminal where an employee takes it. The wall terminal can only take card. Aagaggghhhhhh.
Overall it's VERY expensive. Prices are on par with San Diego or Manhattan, where I've regularly gotten pho in the past, at places with waiter service. A bottled soda is $3.50, yikes!!!!! Two bowls of pho, two spring rolls, and two sodas is about $60 with the added credit card fee and default tip. No! Just no!!!
So, overall, good good but an abysmal customer service experience and waaaaay overpriced. I'm very disappointed. I probably...
