Excellent, quick service (even during the busy lunch rush). A nice balance of fish to rice on the nigiri. Parking was a bit of an issue, but once you are inside the service and food are good. The only thing I could complain about was an inconsistency on the cutting of the tamago. It was a little thin at one end, and slightly overcooked on the edge. But the unagi was good and the maguro was excellent. After having some extra thick fish that threw the balance off at other sushi restaurants in Morehead, Kentucky, it was nice to find someplace that got the balance right. I'll definitely be back and would recommend it to others. I didn't eat anything but sushi and miso soup, but they do have a hibachi grill as well. So if you have squeamish eaters in your group, you should be able to find something for everyone.

I guess if you're a sushi fan, then this would be more your kind of place. Just a typical Japanese steak house with the same sauces, combos, and rice. I'm not into seafood so I can't speak on that. But as far as the non-seafood options, it's the same wherever you go. Really good food though. We got just regular dine in without the big show with the guy cooking it in front of us thinking maybe it would be cheaper because you're not paying for the entertainment. We got 2 drinks, and 2 hibachi combo meals and it was $72.99 before tip. We did get alot of food and the food was really good but I'm not sure it was $73 worth. Overall, good experience, good food, good portions.

We did not enjoy our food at all. The hibachi chef came and went so quickly that you didn't get any type of experience, plus he was already done cleaning the grill before I even opened up my salmon (since it was cooked last) which was fully undercooked and raw in the center. He was also a very messy chef and was slinging oil towards us, dropping food everywhere, very very fast and rushed. Most of us did not even eat half of our food because it tasted like the oil or the grill just wasn't clean or fresh. I couldn't determine what it was. Also, the inside decor overall seems like it's in desperate need of cleaning and remodeling (The wallpaper was separating at the seams all throughout the dining areas), the restrooms were dirty and there was no soap when we were there. I can only imagine that the staff could see our distaste but we did not get anyone that actually checked on us, the server was obviously filling in for missing people and she would ask us how we were as she was walking by to another table. There was another guest that was there that said she used to work at a different location and she left most of her sushi on her plate as well.

The service was friendly, but all the food came out at once. The food... below average. Seaweed salad has too much sesame flavor, served on a bed of cucumber that tasted contaminated. Udon cold, overcooked, garlicky, salty, heavy, slimy, none of the "refreshing" flavor so prized in real Asian cooking. Udon contains American vegetables rather than Asian veggies. The tuna in the spicy roll was too warm, did they have to defrost it? The house salad dressing had too much mayo, it made my daughter feel sick on the first bite. The miso soup has plenty of seaweed and tofu, but it wasn't hot and had no subtlety of flavor. Did it come from a package? The fried rice has nothing in it - no scallions or chives, no eggs, just browned rice with very little flavor. Basically, it's all food that should cost fully half as much as it does, served in a restaurant dressed up to sort of look like the real thing. The only thing I recommend is the Plum Wine. It's a tad sour, but still quite good.

I ordered steak teriyaki from Doordash. It is NOT teriyaki. The steak was very overcooked. The "sauce" was so watery. The veggies that come with it are so soggy and overcooked. I have ordered and dined in multiple times. I usually order sushi for myself and have never had any issues with the meal. I had 2 bites of the steak and couldn't finish it. This ISNT teriyaki. This is hibachi steak with an extremely watered down version of a "teriyaki" sauce. I already got a refund from doordash but I wanted to warn other people that if you're ordering for ACTUAL steak teriyaki, don't.

Worst. Sushi. Ever. I've had better sushi from the grocery store. When I told our waiter the pink lady roll tasted like it had canned tuna in it, he didn't argue, if that tells you anything. And the spicy California roll had more Cucumber than anything else in it. The picture, those are Calamari. Giant, onion ring sized Calamari. It was like biting into a giant piece of rubber. Served with a side of some strange mayonnaise based sauce. If you're in the mood for sushi and thinking about going to Fuji, do yourself a favor and don't go!
