My first time here, went with my dad and sister, they have been here a few times. The server was nice and friendly. I ordered what they ordered, the soup was good, tasted like chicken broth and maybe a little bit of a onion taste but more chicken broth taste, I did really like it and would eat it or drink it again, it would be good to drink or eat if your sick too. The salad and dressing was good but I think it was just all lettuce, there wasn't any tomatos or cucumbers or cheese or anything. The meal was chicken teriyaki I think and noodles and vegetables, I'm not sure what we ordered and I think they ordered something different accidentally because when the food first came out all the noodles were piled high on a big saucer plate, I mean no way we could eat all them noodles, there was enough noodles on 1 plate for 3 or more people, my sister got the rice instead of noodles and her rice plate was just as huge too, the chicken was on top of the vegetables on a separate plate that was huge , way to much food for 1 person, it looked like a whole chicken sliced in pieces to me, the vegetables were, mushrooms, broccoli and other stuff. So we first all the thought the noodles and rice plates were each of ours but the chicken plate we were supposed to share because usually when they eat there I guess theirs always comes on a plate together but I'm not sure but anyway no it wasn't a shareable meal the server said there's 2 more chicken plates coming, we were shocked at all the food we couldn't eat it all, first thing we did was get togo containers and started putting a bunch of our food in the togo containers before we ate and we still left food on our plates. So if you need to feed a family and like this kind of food you can feed several with 1 order of it. Pictures posted of just my meal and soup not counting all the other food too. We didn't even hardly have any room on our table for everything and the table was good size. Now my opinion of the noodles and chicken, I didn't really care for either of them, the noodles were kinda dry, I just didn't really care for them and the chicken was kinda hard to me, I don't know it just wasn't that good to me but my sister and dad really like eating there and the food. We took the rest of the food home and my mother even said the chicken was tuff or hard this time, I agree with her and she has eaten there several times before too. They did have alligator on the menu but it was around $30, or I would have definitely got it. They also had white fish, the server thought it was talipa, I probably should have tried it instead of what I ordered. Each of our orders was I think $26.95 total. If I ever go back I'm definitely trying the white fish or getting the alligator. We couldn't get over the huge amounts of food we got or the way we all thought the 1 plate of chicken was for us all 3 to share so we laughed a lot about that and wish we would have had a video of our faces when the server brought our meals out cause we were all 3 shocked. Usually whatever my sister dad orders it's the same thing chicken teriyaki and noodles or rice and vegetables but all on one plate I think but still very large portions.

We did not enjoy our food at all. The hibachi chef came and went so quickly that you didn't get any type of experience, plus he was already done cleaning the grill before I even opened up my salmon (since it was cooked last) which was fully undercooked and raw in the center. He was also a very messy chef and was slinging oil towards us, dropping food everywhere, very very fast and rushed. Most of us did not even eat half of our food because it tasted like the oil or the grill just wasn't clean or fresh. I couldn't determine what it was. Also, the inside decor overall seems like it's in desperate need of cleaning and remodeling (The wallpaper was separating at the seams all throughout the dining areas), the restrooms were dirty and there was no soap when we were there. I can only imagine that the staff could see our distaste but we did not get anyone that actually checked on us, the server was obviously filling in for missing people and she would ask us how we were as she was walking by to another table. There was another guest that was there that said she used to work at a different location and she left most of her sushi on her plate as well.

The service was friendly, but all the food came out at once. The food... below average. Seaweed salad has too much sesame flavor, served on a bed of cucumber that tasted contaminated. Udon cold, overcooked, garlicky, salty, heavy, slimy, none of the "refreshing" flavor so prized in real Asian cooking. Udon contains American vegetables rather than Asian veggies. The tuna in the spicy roll was too warm, did they have to defrost it? The house salad dressing had too much mayo, it made my daughter feel sick on the first bite. The miso soup has plenty of seaweed and tofu, but it wasn't hot and had no subtlety of flavor. Did it come from a package? The fried rice has nothing in it - no scallions or chives, no eggs, just browned rice with very little flavor. Basically, it's all food that should cost fully half as much as it does, served in a restaurant dressed up to sort of look like the real thing. The only thing I recommend is the Plum Wine. It's a tad sour, but still quite good.

"The sushi is better than shogun or the depot." Is my 5 star review from over a year ago. After this last experience where we were given wrong drinks, treated rudely, had our change stolen, and then yelled at for not giving tip when I literally had the tip in my hand, we cannot go back to my favorite sushi restaurant that we frequently visit. Here is why.

Yesterday I suggested Fuji to my girlfriend and our guest who is from out of town and recently moved to the area. We meet each other there for lunch at 11:45. We were seated in the dining section and our waiter quickly came to ask for our drinks, then he asked if we were ready to order. I asked for a little more time seeing as we just sat down and the only person ready was my girlfriend who gets the same thing every time.

Our waiter came back with our drinks accidentally switching our drinks, we switched back and I tried my sweet tea, boom unsweet. Easy mistake for our obviously new waiter. Instead of complaining, I mixed in many sugar packets. By then my ice was fully melted as there wasn't enough. But again we don't complain.

We order our food and the waiter has a moment of confusion as the only soup option during lunch is miso and he is asking our guest which soup he is wanting. Again no big deal for we visit enough to know he is new.

The waiter brings out our soups and my salad. I forgot to ask for less dressing and again instead of complaining, I pour out the excess into a soy sauce dish filling it entirely. I leave my fork in my salad bowl along with the dressing dish. The waiter comes again and tries to give me my fork back, dropping dressing droplets onto the table. I have to insist that I will not need a fork for my sushi as I am very good with chop sticks.

He brings out my sushi and our guest's udon noodle. He doesn't bring any chopsticks. When he brings my girlfriends sushi, I have to ask for chop sticks (for the second time if you count the fork incident from before where I mentioned I will be using chopsticks.)

He comes back with the chop sticks and moves my plate from where I had it, to the edge of the table in front of me like I am a child about to make a mess. As always we make very little mess and use our napkins to clean up after ourselves if we do as we always try to be as little of a burden as possible anywhere we go.

The waiter brings out our checks, and I pay for our with card and our guest pays with cash. The waiter brings back my receipt to sign and our guests' change only he did not bring back the coins. I wrote cash in my tip line and the total and signed and told our guest I would get the tip.

I pull out a ten and 3 ones and we start discussing if we should leave a full 20%, which would require us to split the ten, or should we just leave the 3 ones as we had a fairly bad experience and had our change stolen. After only a short minute, our waiter comes back to take up the checks that are normally left on your table until you leave. He opens them up and says "no service? No tip?" And he shoves them back at us opened demanding we tip him. We say nothing as we are in shock and he walks away.

Sitting there still with the tip money in my hand we are unsure of what to do. Our guest storms off and leaves us. We were unaware at the time that he had complained to the owner on the way out. The owner comes around the corner with the waiter. I pride myself on never complaining but this was unacceptable. I look at her and say "very rude, very rude." She says what's wrong and I point at the waiter saying "it's you man, you yell at me for not tipping when I have the tip in my hand." Although I should have left with out tipping I threw the three dollars on the table and stormed out. The owner turned to him as we were walking past and said "you can not do that, they are regulars here."

I am happy that in my rage I had not started cussing as I had little control. My only regret is leaving the money on the table instead of taking it to the sushi chef who is probably not getting his share of tips due to the...
