Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Ashland

I’ve been to Jimmy John’s several times and usually love it. The sandwiches are always fresh and quick, which is why I keep coming back.

This time, though, I had a really disappointing experience. I came in during a busy lunch rush with a group of firefighters already eating. I was patient and waited until I was ready to order before walking up to the counter. One of the employees looked at me with a nasty expression. I smiled and said hi, and she said hi back but went right back to making food without asking if I needed help.

I stepped back and waited a little longer, trying to be understanding since it was busy. When I walked up again, no one acknowledged me. I tried one more time, and the same woman said loudly, “Can someone help her? She’s walked up here three times.”

A different employee did help me at that point and took my order, but I left feeling uncomfortable, like I was intruding just by being there. The staff was not friendly, and the whole vibe was unwelcoming.

I have worked as a server for years, so I know what it’s like to be in the middle of a rush, but basic kindness and acknowledgment make a big difference. I really like Jimmy John’s, but this visit was...

Went through the drive thru and got a #16. I pulled in front of the store to where something told me to check my sandwich. Behold, no lettuce. While I was in the drive thru the first time I had seen lettuce on the counter. I proceeded to call the store so they can make it right. I asked if they had lettuce and I was straight up LIED to!!! I told them that if they were out of lettuce that they should have told me and I would have not bought the sandwich and drove 10min back home. I went back through the drive thru and went off!! I DONT appreciate being LIED to!!!!! All in all after gripping they chopped up lettuce and made another sandwich and added a couple cookies...

Great food, of not a little lacking on options, and the gentlemen are usually nice and my food comes out pretty quick. I order the unwich because im allergic to wheat products. There was a lady working the line and she literally complained about my order as she made it claiming "why even bother ordering" she was gently corrected by a coworker but the fact she said it in ear shot of a customer is quite disappointing. Theres no valid reason to actively talk badly about a customers order. Shaming me for something i cant control is upsetting. I didnt catch her name, but she was the only female working. Its unwelcoming and i probably wont be back...
