Visiting family in Conneaut and I found Harbor Perks. I’ve gotta say that I was very glad I did. I’m a huge coffee drinker and i’ve spent years consuming some of the top beans from around the world. Being from Central Florida we have dozens of places that try to emulate being a “Coffee House” but I can honestly say that none of them hold a candle to Harbor Perk. From the minute I entered the simple but warming environment truly made me want to actually sit back and stay for a while. It’s warm and inviting environment is completed by the fantastic people who work there. The two gentlemen (owners who’s name i can’t remember SORRY!) totally know what they are doing in their craft and produce an amazing product. From the bags of beans and the huge roasting machine in the back, it truly gave me a very warm and inviting experience. Ashtabula has a diamond in their backyard and i’m jealous. This establishment would be a regular daily place for me to go if I were ever to live in the area and i’m glad I was able to visit. Harbor Perk made my stay in Conneaut so much better and I can’t wait to get back there to pay them a visit. To the owners BRAVO! Love your coffee house and I wish you many years success! Thanks for making my trip a...
Read moreI’m always looking for new coffee shops to try & I found a pretty cool one in Ashtabula, Ohio. The Harbor Perk was recommended to me, so on a lazy Sunday morning, I traveled out to visit. Easy drive out, easy to find & found a parking spot pretty quick. I walked in and was greeted by the smell of freshly ground coffee, the staff greeted me warmly as well. I’m a big fan of mocha lattes currently, so that’s what I ordered. I then looked at my seating options, it appeared that tables were the best option. A few minutes later my name was called and my beverage was ready. I must say it was nice & hot, a nice foam on top & very yummy. 16 ounces of delicious mocha goodness. The decor was very done, definitely had a quaint coffee cafè feel. Also there was a small gift shop area where they had a myriad of things to commemorate your visit. They also had two large coffee bean grinders, absolutely loved that. They did have pastries & other food offerings, next time I go I will definitely get something to eat. The atmosphere & vibe was super chill & peaceful. I truly enjoyed my coffee as well as my time there. You would definitely go & get yourself a coffee from this wonderful...
Read moreCool music; warm smiles; hot coffee. What more can you ask for? Let’s face it people… Ashtabula’s cold. We locals who don’t go South with the geese need this place to survive the winter, so it’s a pretty iconic spot to patron if you’re visiting the area. However you take your coffee: interesting flavors, artisanal blends, exotic terroirs, icy treats, or classic espresso drinks; The Perk has got something for just about everyone. There is something grounding (coffee pun?) about drinking it where it’s roasted, too. But even if coffee’s not your thing there’s plenty for you here. The staff are friendly and welcoming without exception, and the vibe is great for hanging out, reading, working, studying, board games, warming up from a chilly day at the harbor, or cooling off from a sunny day at the beach. Grab a locally baked good or a fun piece of artwork on a postcard while you’re here, enjoy yourself, and...
