What's not to love about this place? A quaint little pizza place nestled into the Ashtabula strip.

My wife and I are visiting the area and had this place recommended to us by our host. We visited a few minutes after they opened and we enjoyed it from the start. The natural brick and plaster look gives you a retro feel. We sat in the back dining area that featured the pizza oven in view.

They have a great selection of local brew including one designed for them by a local brewery. Their cocktail menu was creative and had some interesting choices. We started with beer and I finished with a Limoncello/beer cocktail, all were excellent.

For food we ordered the large house salad and a margherita pizza. The salad was really fresh and the oil/vinegar dressing mixed with the fresh greens, mozzarella , salami, tomatoes, and chickpeas was excellent. Our pizza came out hot and fresh and we devoured every bite. We were stuffed so we took a couple homemade cannoli home.

Our server was kind and knowledgeable of the shop and the history of the area. All around great experience for a little date night. The prices were good for the quality of food/drink you get. I would recommend stopping if you...

I ordered carry out: a Margherita pizza, full chop salad, and the white bean appetizer! 😋 Regarding the pizza, the crust was right. The sauce was good, and the fresh mozzarella all contributed to making a great meal. The only thing that I would do differently, and this is my personal opinion, is to put more basil on the top. The one or two small leaves 🍃 just wasn't enough for me. The "just the right amount of garlic and olive oil" white beans were served with crispy pita-like strips that were a perfect accompaniment. Although, I would have eaten the beans with a spoon similarly to soup.😋 The olive 🫒 oil tasted fresh-pressed and was delish. The chop salad tasted fresh and crisp. The vinaigrette dressing tasted fresh with the right amount of each ingredient combined 😋! The only reason I gave the atmosphere three stars is because it is loud. This was my first time getting food from "Nights and Weekends." I'm sure that I will go back again to try some of the other offerings. There were enough pieces of pizza and amount of salad for three meals. The beans only lasted for two meals. Yum! Around $14...

Can't really say anything about the food.. that is unfortunate. My wife and I were looking forward to their pizza and although it's not the cheapest pizza in town we were happy to pay the price if it's excellent. However, it was Sunday evening and we walked in and stood there for 2 minutes where the sign stated please wait to be seated. So we stood there patiently talking and looking around for someone to greet us. There was a lady in the bar and someone else working but no one even looked up and made eye contact with us to say hello, or will be with you in a minute, or anything for that matter. They were relatively quiet this evening so in my view I didn't want to stay there if that was my first impression of the service. Just really disappointed so we ended up going...

Fantastic food with great service and fun vibe! They had the pizza oven shipped from Italy and you can tell! The dough is perfect!!! We had the Cheesy Bread for an appetizer. It was great! Not too much cheese so you can taste the dough and sauce on the side. We ordered half portions of the Italian Chopped Salad and Kale Salad. Both were great and the portions were huge. For dinner we had the Margherita Pizza. You can tell it’s cooked in that oven and the ingredients are very fresh. Service was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend if you are in Ashtabula!!

We were at the beach glass festival today and walked by, we were intrigued by the wood fire cooked pizza. Service was amazing, the vibe and scenery was amazing. I got the "Hugo" drink it was delicious. Reminded me of a mojito but a little more mild. We got the Tuscan Kale salad, it was so good!! It had kale, roasted pine nuts, golden raisins, romano cheese, and a lemon olive oil dressing. We also got the cheese sticks and Margarita pizza. I absolutely love the marinara sauce it tasted so fresh. We will definitely be back!
