Dunkin' — Restaurant in Aspen Hill

Website says they have curbside pickup. I called in an order at 5:45 to be picked up curbside at 6:45. At first I was told there was no drive-thru; I explained that I just wanted curbside pickup and was told that was OK. I pull up at 6:50 with an 8-month old, a 1 year old, and a 6 year old in my car (the reason I wanted curbside pickup) to a spot with a sign indicating it's for curbside pickup, although it's almost completely blocked in a by a motorcycle and a huge van whose drivers are both inside the restaurant. I put my blinkers on and call to have my order brought out to me. The woman who answered said I need to come inside to pay. I told her that the reason I ordered curbside pickup was that I was alone with 3 little kids in the car on my way to work, so could they please bring my order out, and the woman just hung up on me. I have many family members who work and have worked in the restaurant industry, so I am sympathetic to the demands and regular poor treatment by customers, but this is absolutely ridiculous. This is one of my all-time favorite Dunkin Donuts stores. Located in the Northgate Plaza Shopping Center, next to the Walgreens in Aspen Hill, I go out of my way to get my morning latte at this store. One of the many reasons I give this location my business is that I want to support the all-female staff. Not only is the staff quick and efficient with every process from the register to the drinks to the food/donuts, but they are also constantly on top of the cleaning. During downtime, machines are pulled away from the walls for sweeping, the floors are mopped, cases and counters are wiped, and the trash is emptied. There is no ego about who works the registers or makes the drinks and food. This staff works as a team and each team member handles whatever task needs to be done in that moment in order to best serve the customers. This team is friendly and efficient whether it's calm or chaotic. This is a smooth, well-run Dunkin Donuts. I had an issue with my order and instead of a refund, I was met with a rude, hateful manager named Roxana. She refused to refund all of my money. Instead she reached in the bag threw one donut away and put the others back in the tray for resale. Unsanitary, unprofessional and ignorant display of leadership. I called the corporate office and complained. The owner contacted me and was very emphatic and very nice. I went back to retrieve my complimentary donut and the devil Roxana refused to comply yet again. I was ready to call corporate again. The owner contacted me a second time because of his horrible manager Roxana. I made another attempt and was met with a very pleasant and professional woman named Rubi. If Rubi was the manager this bad customer experience would not have taken place. Fire Roxana and promote Rubi. Roxana makes this store look bad. The owner and Rubi are a better fit for this store.
