Just left and what I thought would be a classic DQ experience turned into mood ruined unfortunately. Ordered a oreo cookie blizzard with fudge on top. Not sure if they heard my order correctly but the lady on the mic said it back to me correctly. Now here's where the problem comes. When it came to me she says something about the fuge being hot. I'm like OK. I get my "blizzard" and it's a shake at best. And to add insult to injury almost no oreo. If I pieced together what was in there it would be a quarter of a cookie if that. I go back to the restaurant and the cashier(same woman) tells me it's how it's made and it's pre measured. But I'm thinking.... This ain't even a whole cookie worth and it's like dust or bits at that. Then I ask can she remake it with the cookies blended and fudge on top. She says she would have to charge me for extra fudge. I was understanding that I was charged already... I wasn't given a receipt now that I think about it. She gave me a little cup of fudge but it wasn't the same. I had a cup full of ice cream soup. I don't understand (I've had DQ since I was a little kid) why she refused to make it how it's always come. Cookies blended throughout the vanilla ice cream then fudge on top. Or at least ask the customer would you like it blended or on top? Oh and then the lecture at the end before I left on how to order: "next time you order you should say you want a oreo blizzard w/extra fudge on top no blend" and I just looked at her and said alright that works. But in reality it does not. It was rude and not customer service. Even if she thought I wanted it blended, why not ask or even go safe and put it on top (if I wanted to blend I could myself). Smh bad experience...
Read moreWell it wasn't that I was dissatisfied. Here's what happened... I had just finished my dinner and with my new eating regiment had to get dessert in within 30 minutes if I was going to have any at all. Obviously a peanut buster parfait isn't the most healthy thing. But I saw DQ on my way home and remembered how much I loved them. Especially with chocolate ice cream and whipped cream. So I said what the hay and drove up. Everyone was SUPER friendly. I was pretty shocked by the price, approximately $7.50 that seems way too much. I assumed the price went up but I decided to make a mental note and pay. When I received my parfait I was taken back. Instead of the usual dole shaped ice cream on the top there was just... Nothing? Let me rephrase. The ice cream was only filled up to about 2-3 inches below the brim. Additionally, the whipped cream which I'm pretty sure I paid extra for was... Scant. At first I was angry. But then I thought to myself... Actually this is probably more in line with the portion I should be having. So I accepted it and drove off. Overall, the price didn't match regardless of the missing ice cream, but service was great! Is this a corporate issue?...
Read moreSince they have opened for this season under new management, they are very slow and some of the new staff aren't very friendly. They also now don't fill the blizzards to the top and are very skimpy with other things too. Very disappointing, hopefully things change and get better in the coming months.
EDIT (9/2016): They are still incredibly slow and rude. They also don't ever actually fill up the blizzard to the top nor do they add enough candy to them. Down to 1 star for me. Haven't had a good experience there since they opened under the new management.
EDIT (4/2017): New year, new fancy equipment, same awful experience. Employees are not trained properly (or nearly enough), they are rude, it's disorganized (all young kids with no supervision), and even worse the product is not good either. The blizzards are not made well at all, they never have enough candy in them or are blended well enough. They also never fill them to the top. Very disappointed. This location has so much potential, but since the new owners it's fallen very very short of...
